There is one significant issue: If the tach is above 4K, in 2nd gear, and you whack the throttle, the front wheel levitates. I think it is a factory defect..... But seriously, Unmodified Gen 1's put a lot of heat on the rider's left shin and the tank gets hot if running under a quarter tank...

I used the gear check last year. They were supposed to have two, but I only found one in the Ducati world section. They give you a large trashbag to fill, tie it off and give you a claim stub. It worked very well.
