Welcome to the 16th annual “Bite the Wieenie” RTE at Pink’s Hot Dogs in Los Angeles, Saturday, Nov 19, 2016.

FJR's have always been well represented at "Bite The Wieenie!

This is the weekend before Thanksgiving Holidays AND it coincides with the Progressive International Motorcycle Show (IMS) in Long Beach, CA. On Saturday, Nov 19, 2016, 9:30am-8:00pm, attend the largest motorcycle show on the west coast and at 9PM ride over to Pinks to “Bite The Wieenie”. It’s approximately 33 miles (1+ hours in LA traffic).

Northern California riders, there is no San Francisco IMS. So come on down and enjoy the motorcycle show Friday and/or Saturday and "Bite The Wieenie!" Saturday evening.

The “Bite The Wieenie” Ride To Eat is unique ... not too many riders can say they rode a 1,000+ miles just to have a hot dog!!

Last year we had the biggest attendance of 1,000+ mile participants.

• Greg Rice, ‘12 Honda GL1800, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 2,700 miles. Greg completed a BBG3000!

• Joe Green, ‘08 Yamaha FJR 1300, Fort Myers, Florida, 2,658 miles.

• Danny Dossman, ‘14 HD Limited, riding a 100CCC and made Bite The Wieenie his turnpoint.

• David Stoler, ‘07 BMW K1200GT, rode in from Louisville, Kentucky, 2,107 miles.

• James Lewis, BMW R1200, Mt Vernon, Missouri, 1,750 miles.

• Paul Slayton, ‘06 Yamaha FJR1300, The Woodlands, Texas, 1,584 miles.

• John Huval, ‘12 Honda GL1800, Lafayette, Louisiana, 1,584 miles.

• Mike Riley, ‘12 Kawasaki C14, Oklahoma, 1.336 miles.

Under 1,000 mile attendees were from California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, & Washington. And if you’re new or interested in the Iron Butt community, this is a golden opportunity to see long distance motorcycle rigs and talk to Iron Butt Rally big dogs.

Pink's is a honest-to-goodness Hollywood icon, sub-cultural gathering spot and past IBR bonus location. Whether you're Mike Kneebone, Angelina, Lisa Landry, the Donald or Elvis, everyone waits in line. And the 1-hour+ wait at midnight for a $4.40 chili dog is a unique Hollywood experience.

Jacked up pickups, bouncing lowriders, Porsches, pimpmobiles, junkers and LD motorcycle rigs all share a miniscule parking lot while stretch limos and Hummers circle the block while their contents wait in the 1-hour+ line.

Besides us LDRiders with ATGATT, it would not be unusual to see unique body piercing, facial tattoos, the best body modifications that money can buy, spikes and dreadlocks, prom dresses, grunge street wear and barefoot surfers standing in line.

HOT DOG MENU

If you're into hot dogs . . . check this amazing Pink’s Hot Dog menu.

The top-of-the-line gastrointestinal bomb is the legendary “THREE DOG NIGHT” -- 3 hot dogs, wrapped in a giant tortilla, 3 slices of cheese, 3 slices of bacon, chili & onions all for … $10.25!!!!!!!!

And for those of you of the non-meat persuasion, there is a vegan dog!

All prices subject to change.

Or for some real fun, move this event to the Original Tommy's at Beverly & Rampart. Make it a Saturday night when USC has a Home game.

Now that's a good time.

^^^^ That Tommy's is the best!

It's been a few years since I've been to BTW, I'll have to make an effort to attend.

Unfortunately that 4 letter word, WORK, still gets in my way.

Safe travels to all of you fortunate enough to be able to attend.
