Down size front tire

Has anyone downsized their front tire for better turn in response? 120/70-17 to 120/60-17. I used to ride the FZ1 and a couple of buddies with the same bike downsized for better steering. Any thoughts?

Did that on a Yamaha 600 and lost ground clearance i needed for cornering.....not for sure on fjr

I have I did loose some ground clearance but it got into the turns nice.The only reason I did it was I was leaving on a trip I needed a tire and thats all they had (120 60 17) I was happy with it.

Wouldn't it just be easier to raise the forks in the triples?

You might want to try a BT-023GT. I understand they have quick turn-in.

FWIW, my FJR has much quicker and lighter turn-in than my FZ-1.

Jack the pressure to 44 both ends if you want quick [relatively] turn in..
