This is about 60,000 miles worth. The only extras I run are a Gerbing jacket liner with gloves and a set of FF200 HID's. Not very often that the heat is on high with the lights, but even when that does happen I show at least 13.7 volts when driving down the road.

 
What are the symptoms of the stator beginning to commit suicide?

Gen I, 54K miles.

My volt meter is giving me some strange readings of late. In the morning all is fine. On the evening commute (it's been in the mid-90s), once I get off the highway and run through town, the engine temp rises 1-2 bars and I see the voltmeter drop to 13.3-12.8 volts. When I raise the rpms the volt meter indicates 13.9 then a max of 14.2-14.3.

This may be bad news or I could have bad ju-ju going on under the dash/under the alternator cover. My intent is to disconnect every added wire this weekend and run just the volt meter to see what happens (just in case I have an errant circuit someplace).

I DO have an electrosport stator, new in the box......
