Having problems with the files...
The garmin file when I try to open it says

" This file cannot be read because it uses a subsequent file version. This program can read MPS files as well as GDB files version 2 and below."

My Streets and trips version 2004 says

"a unamed file has a bad format"

Unless someone has a fix I will use my own plotting that I did earlier.
I can't help you with the S&T version, 2006 is the oldest I have. I can however, post a (v2) GDB format. Will have that included in a few minutes. Check back around 10:30 EDT today.
Thanks Jeff V2 works like a charm!!!

rangerray - thanks for that tip. I'll do it when I get home. Sure hope it's a better program than the "steamin' pile of crap" (yes, this is the official title) Mapsourse I have now. Thanks again.

I just downloaded the V2 file to my computer and loaded them into my GPS.... very good work.

Thank you again for the great effort put into this. As Wheaton said.... If I don't get to ride them all this weekend next time down I'll ride them.

Simply for convenience sake... I've taken all (6) of the routes and stuffed them into one .GDB file. With that it's a one stop push to *most* Garmin devices.

You can find that file here: https://www.dishers.com/?p=543

I also have the *(latest)* Text/PDF directions all bundled up in one .zip file too.

All of these rides look damn good, thanks to everyone who put this together!

Hi Matt... like I said... you's such a good egg for all that you've done.

I made Google Map versions of Jeff's excellent work so I could better visualize the routes and for reference to transfer to my Tomtom GPS. These give driving directions and can be modified or updated. Some of the turns in dense urban areas will likely not be exactly the same as his.

If someone needs/wants them, I think I can use my POI Converter tool on the original S&T files, to create Tomtom files too. Somebody will need to work with me to test one out.

PM me if you are interested.

Renegade,

Nice of you to put the files on your webpage! However, I hate to be a poopy-pants, but there seems to be an issue with the .zip file. WinZip won't touch it.

Bump

See first post.

Final revision directions have been posted on my FTP. You can pick them up there.

Jeff

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! to everyone who helped put this together. Having played a small part in the production of the HSTA's STAR event in Asheville this year, I know first hand how much work goes into something like this. My helmet is off to you all.

Shiznit... I just used Windows handy 'Send to Compressed File'... If you have XP/Vista they should open. If not I can repost or you can get them from Haullin Ashe's space.

Let me know if I need to 'recompress em'

I just downloaded and uploaded to my 2820 no prob with your zip file.

I hit open from your web page (not save)

For the reason you speak of, I am considering riding Route #6 on Saturday which is run and repeat twisties. I don't want to be rushing my butt off to be ready for dinner & door prizes & I plan to be back to the hotel by or before 4:00PM. If anyone else is interested in the run and repeat twisties, please speak up. I'd like to have some company. Heidi

Sounds like fun. Put me on your list.

Well, I am still new to all this GPS stuff. I don't know how I did it, but somehow the routes are in my GPS.

I'd rather be lucky than good.

And thanks for all the hard work!!!

Alright!!! I have company!

If I understand the schedule right, and I frequently don't, the pillion ride is going to be Saturday.
