fjr1300 lower cowl chrome emblem

Hi FJR gurus, What year did the chrome lower cowl "FJR1300" emblem come stock? Thanks in advance. I thought it was 2013.

Go to an online parts microfiche.

My Desert Metallic 06 ended up with them, just to confuse other FJR owners.

I think it was in 09 in Australia, the only color available was black.

All '09's are black in the US.

If you don't like the chrome, I have seen some Youtube videos of chrome emblames being blacked-out with Plasti-dip. Seems like a low risk way of trying a new look.

Or get a Gen I, then you can ride more and stress less.

Or, as I'm doing with my gen III, ignore the chrome emblem, riding more (8 hours on twisties today), and not stressing at all.
