Fyi... Not the typical MC use GPS, but may be your backup or car unit...

The recalled devices include a small subset of the following nüvi model numbers:

• <LI type=disc>nüvi 200W, 250W, & 260W
• nüvi 7xx (where xx is a two-digit number)

Yep thanks just got a email from garmin and mine is the list. This is the one I use on my FJR. :angry:

Sum Bitch, mine is on the list also and I use it extensively on my FJR. I don't mind sending mine in and getting a brand new battery, especially since my battery is about shot, I'm concerned with how long it will take to get it back. I want to use mine during the SW-FOG about a month from now. I'm afraid if I send it in now I won't have it back in time and I'll be forced to return to the days of long past and use a map. Oh shit, I can hear BeemerDon now, this is just the reason he needs to perform the sledge hammer test on all GPS'.
