Took a little spin this past Sunday on hwy 49 from Oakhurst up to Angels Camp. A nice day, without too much traffic through the Sierra Nevada foothills, including the Little Dragon. However, on the way back to Bakersfield, had the good fortune to take J59, from hwy 108, just SW of Sonora towards hwy 99 at Merced. Talk about high speed, good pavement, sweepers, beautiful green rolling hills, oak trees, perfectly placed cattle, few cars, it seemed almost too good to experience.

Very nice. Curious about the perfectly placed cattle. I ran across one yesterday on my Sunday drive & it was imperfectly placed, i.e., on the wrong side of the fence. So from its vantage happily munching grass on the side of the road, it was in an ideal spot even if I didn't think so :blink:
