A good friend recently purchased a beautiful new GT, and has been racking up the miles like ..... well, like warchild..
anyway, on monday afternoon while travelling on a wet backroad, a deer came leaping across his path. He hit it in the chest just above the headlamp (from what he rememebers) -- almost completely cutting the animal in two.
the impact litterally blew off all of the bark north of the tank.
When i heard on tuesday, I figured he would be up to his nuts in guts, but.....
The bike did not go down, nor did he get a scratch. In fact he drove the bike to a service station a mile down the road, and had it hauled to the dealer from there.

....Glad to hear he came out okay. It could have been a real bad day for him as well as the deer.
