So I'm all done packing and heres where we are:

Rider (added 10 pounds for gear)- 190

Passenger (+10)- 145

All packed Gear- 70

Total= 405

Max Capacity is 428 (with ABS)

If i add the hard bags, which I have been told are approx. 30 pounds, I'm over. Still not sure if they are included in total.

Should I slim down? Whats your take on the capacity issue? Thanks.

(ill prolly be gone by the time I get responses)

just go and with weight expect slight rear end wobble in tight turns if you are scraping pegs. Expect better aerodynamics with a pillion so top speed is increased ;)

180 lbs is way overweight.....see a doctor about a stomach suture or something.

Good luck and have fun Drew!

The lawyers, bean counters, actuaries and safety-crats always influence these weight limitation/maximum figures to be wa-a-a-a-y conservative. Load 'er up to your heart's content and go. Have fun, be safe.
