Wheaton - understand now. If one has to get across Arkansas in the East/West direction, north of I-40, AR16 is the road to do it.

I'm kind of jonesing to go up there right now...

DAY 9 (PART 1)

Thurs 9/25/14 (302 miles)

NasvilletoMaggieV_zps364284e0.png

Another grand day. The Weather Gods are shining down on us once again!
smile.png

DSC01096_zps25931871.jpg

Had B-Fast at the motel (continental) no FP pics need be. This days goal was easy going, well for awhile anyways... 129 (the Dragon) I had on the route leading into Maggie Valley. Hey, why not? It's on the way (sorta). First up was lots of flat terrain and some interesting waterways of the Tennessee River...

DSC01100_zps283c54f1.jpg

DSC01098_zpsfe74d357.jpg

DSC01101_zps92ed441b.jpg

Country roads are still pretty level with low altitudes under 1K.

DSC01105_zpsf8534dee.jpg

So we stop for our off-loading (of my prior coffee). We talk to some locals that ask where we are off to? We say the Smokies. They immediately say "Not that Dragon I hope!". Well, we say "Yep, it's in our plans". They quickly say... "OBoy!, we have one a week around here!" I say "what, one accident a week?". They say "No!, one death a week on that dang road! You fellers be careful ya hear!?"

DSC01104_zpse5aee29a.jpg

DSC01103_zps14ecd63d.jpg

As we start to enter the Smokie's (Mountain region)...

DSC01106_zps91ff4ccf.jpg

We now are officially on the 129...

DSC01107_zpsff585d22.jpg

I like water scenes as ya know

.....

DSC01110_zpsbdfc746b.jpg

Getting close to nixing the camera as it will soon take 2 hands on the bars...

DSC01111_zps35e69dec.jpg

Traveling the Dragon from the TN side to the NC part, we get our first observation loca....

(my rear bag I see has shifted, looks like we are in the right place!)

20140925_141655_zps1ed019fe.jpg

A popular photo op spot, I've seen this so many a times from other peeps, now I guess it's my turn...

DSC01117_zpsac2ad040.jpg

DSC01116_zps5508025f.jpg

DSC01114_zps555e86ac.jpg

Not a ton of bikes on the Dragon today which was nice. We did come up on a Cisco Tractor Trailer coming at us. Luckily it was one of those shorter refrigerated semi's. I was so concentrating on my line but also as well of what "could" come from me oncoming. Scary actually, and, If you don't think like this you could be next! Defensive driving is the way Stan I both took on this road, especially after the locals gave us the 1 death a week speech.

DSC01115_zps9752e2b1.jpg

So off we go to finish up the Dragon (at least for this day)... BUT... we wait a bit (staging some distance between) after seeing this go by...

DSC01118_zpsaabadcbd.jpg

Off we go... sorry no in-action pics, as said... both hands on the bars with full concentration...

DSC01119_zps5d6c8edf.jpg

The familiar sites on the NC side of 129...

DSC01122_zpse30f4b43.jpg

DSC01124_zpsab6c3a93.jpg

DSC01125_zps45c22482.jpg

And I personally liked this, they had to tell people (with a sign) that this is not real copper. I know thieves are probably not the brightest creatures on this planet, but really?...

DSC01126_zps99e18516.jpg

129 is also very scenic with the reservoir and dam...

DSC01128_zps07c03d48.jpg

Now connecting into MV on some more fun and quite scenic roads...

(who am I kidding, these are all fun and scenic roads down here! It seems you just pick one and go!)

DSC01130_zps186066cd.jpg

DSC01131_zpsd2422ffe.jpg

DSC01132_zps9cf72d7f.jpg

As we roll into the Maggie Valley Inn & Convention Center, we are greeted by many FJR faithfuls
smile.png
. Many like Bob (Intech) we just saw the prior weekend at NAFO. It was still a very welcoming site (and no FYB's, I like the guy!). So... all in all, we were very excited and happy to be here with a great bunch of guys and gals! Awesome! Yahooie!

So we park, greet and re-greet with some fine folks... but... we quickly find some riders (and that term may be used losely?) ...took another route to get here? Some tribal members were saying WTF? lol. I was just simply going to take his pic as this guy not only shows up trailing his Feejer, bet he has the bawlz to prance it right in front of us and right by the main entrance where we are gathered!. Hats off bro, and as AC/DC sings it... you got BIG balls!...

20140925_184439_zps33436abf.jpg

As darkness comes down, we have a line-up started under the entrance. Me n Steamer (driving Beemers) bow to the FJR boys (hey it is after all a FJR Rally!) and park off to the side. Yes, we are good sports
wink.png
and remember.. I still own an FJR myself
smile.png

DSC01133_zps30d82340.jpg

Not a lot of peeps yet....

DSC01135_zpsb72fee4f.jpg

More coming in tomorrow (Friday) I'm hearing...

DSC01134_zpsbb425787.jpg

But we got Bob! ...say?, does he and his lovely wife Janet ever stay home? lol.

DSC01136_zps3dfcd775.jpg

I meet Josh (Cav47) for the first time. He's definitely an outgoing person and he seems to like ASDGirls Bomb-bard-dee-eh!, eh?

20140926_214015_zps8274d655.jpg

Hey! I see a familiar shirt! ...NERDS in the Smokies! ...Yes! (and that's Geezers ass if ya didn't know
wink.png
)

20140926_214147_zps2fbe8457.jpg

So the dealio (this year) it seems; No drinking of any alcohol that is not purchased on the premises. Well, that's OK I guess and we will roll with it, but it sure makes for a lot more expensive tire kicking sessions....

Stan and myself called it a night kinda early (11pm). I heard noises however from our room (which was down 5 rooms down from the front door activity). Seems 1:30am rings a bell, somebody was hoot'n and hollering out there?. End of Day 9

DAY 10

Fri 9/26/14 (Maggie Valley - EOM Rally)

No breakfast at the lodge, I figured we would have time when we go into Asheville to get Stan-lee's rear tire changed. We got in an AM Coffee slash parking lot meeting prior to lift-off, and who says you have to be dressed before ya leave the house!

Andy (BikerGeek) / Marty (Oface) / Carl (Griff)

DSC01137_zps1f1f8623.jpg

So Stan has called all the Moto dealers for a new rear. You say WTF?, another rear on this trip? Yes, but it's for him this time and No flats! it just seems his Continental "Conti-Motion" 180/55-17 is close to showing cords, and at only 4K! Yeah, I'm not a fan, but that's what he had put on prior to this trip. I told him to ask the dealers for a Michelin and PR series when phoning them. Funny, the cheapest (by far) was a BMW dealer in Asheville NC

DSC01140_zps899e70b5.jpg

Pretty thorough technician, he can't believe Steamer only has 4K on his rear before it's toast.

DSC01139_zpsdbe8af8c.jpg

The usual dealership stuff

DSC01142_zpsad6a5448.jpg

I was kind of stand-backish ...in seeing the new '15s...

And they just happen to have a 2015 GT sitting on the floor. Hmmmm? Well,,,, not a fan of the Black metallic, so I'm happy happy, I definitely do not wanna trade off my Sakhir Orange.

DSC01143_zpsb76ac8aa.jpg

As Steamer's tire gets changed, we walk to an adjacent 'all natural' food joint for breakfast, kinda interesting, and the outside dinning area was perfect for this mornings weather (mid 70's here, quite enjoyable).

DSC01141_zps1ca583ad.jpg

I had the Eggs-Benedict. Perfect hollandaise sauce, just the right amount of lemon to accent, but not overpowering/bitter.

20141005_113535_zpsf64873a9.jpg

Total bill for Stan-lee... $274.22. He got a PR4-GT 180/55-17 installed and the dealer put the bike on the diagnostics, cleared out the service indicator. Mighty good deal, wayyyy better than mine in LaCrosse (I did need the larger 190/55 however).

We hop back on the Blue Ridge Parkway and head North going thru Pisgha Nat'l Forest

DSC01145_zpsc7e2c5af.jpg

Fog (or clouds in reality) was prevalent in the higher elevations, we were flirting in and out of 5-6K.

DSC01146_zps0621801e.jpg

DSC01147_zps09a7200c.jpg

We meet up with a very nice couple on a Connie. He is very interested in my bike but totally ignoring Steamers. Stan seems frustrated, I'm thinking it's just a lack of oxygen to his bald headed brain. I told him to relax (yeah, right!)

DSC01148_zps2f866fc8.jpg

This would be one bad ass road if just wasn't tagged at 45...

DSC01149_zps86fe414c.jpg

I got some hiking in! ...mainly b/c I had to get rid of the used coffee

DSC01150_zpse1580b31.jpg

It had to of been real easy to name these mountains "The Smoky Mountains", heck, It's always "smoky" ...from atop!

DSC01151_zps52dc0b36.jpg

DSC01154_zpse1f2a5ed.jpg

So I don't stop at every "overlook", as it will get you nowhere fast, but, you have to get in a few, especially with some historic values. This train map/route below kinda blew my mind. They had to lay 100 miles of track to get 20 miles of advancement as it curved right back at them cascading between the valleys below. Kinda like the roads we were riding
smile.png

DSC01160_zps157ffb34.jpg

Looking down in the Valley, we see Rte 19E and a town called Spruce Summit. We hear a fiddle type band clearly, and see that it is coming from the red pole barn below us (pic is zoomed in)...

DSC01161_zpsab321388.jpg

I tell Steamer "We need to check this out, it looks like a local-yocal thingy!". Upon dropping down to a dirt road, I see no signs, no indications of anything bringing anybody to this place? ....I'm kinda getting a really good feeling that this may be my "Real-deal" NC local-yocal joint that I have been seeking!

Upon arriving... It's a apple-orchard processing farm (The Historic Orchard at AltaPass) and features a small market with niche items.

DSC01166_zpscf85215f.jpg

As I walk up to the service counter, the nice and heavily southern drawled lady politely says "oh, you must be lost!". Hehe, I said "no, we have GPS's, we just heard the music from above and decided to come down and check it out!". She kindly explains that this is their "Apple Fest" and I inquire "Oh.I would of never known, there are no signs?" She smiled and said "Everybody down in the Valley knows where to get their apples".

I look out and see everyone eating Apple Pie! It looks dang good! So I ask her if that's their specialty...

She says; "Yuup!, and!, all of us here have it with Butter Pecan Ice Cream". Well... how could I go with French Vanilla after that? Butter Pecan it is!... along with one of their Ciders...

DSC01167_zpsd5054402.jpg

We checkout the band with the locals loving every moment of it... Now this is the non-touristy stuff I wanted to see!

DSC01168_zps708af3e2.jpg

Of course we had to move on (aww shucks, dawg gone-it and by golly gee wiz!).

So, one of my BMW buddies told me that Routes 80 and 197 that were must do's and that we would enjoy those way better than the Dragon (we actually found many that in our minds beat the much publicized Dragon). So my main reason for coming up here to the Pisgah's were to include in those 2 roads (kinda parallel roads so a mini loop within my loop was planned).

DSC01157_zps4e4636eb.jpg

Now on 80, what a great road! Sorry no technical pics, I was hanging on!

DSC01173_zpsd9e39c83.jpg

Still had the views once a clearing popped up

DSC01174_zps6890c21f.jpg

And we flirted with the BRP as well

DSC01175_zps8547f49f.jpg

On 80, we take a break. We see this "Party House" out in the middle of a small lake. It holds Weddings and parties it seems (as they had a sign hung up over the entrance). Very Interesting to say the least.

DSC01172_zpsaa098de3.jpg

Both 80 and 127 were simply awesome!. Probably the best (exciting wise) roads of the entire trip. Man, what a rush we had on those (tagged 55 roads) that we ate up.

We putz back on the Blue Ridge...

DSC01181_zps85c5f817.jpg

DSC01183_zps75037245.jpg

One last stop before we head'em back to MV. Steamer is not liking the BRP compared to the likes of 80. Ya Think?! And, we've now spoiled the Steamer!

DSC01178_zps8ee6f402.jpg

At 5,600 ft, I've got energy to burn!

DSC01177_zpsc1820acf.jpg

DSC01184_zps456a9c04.jpg

DSC01191_zps6ec12ab6.jpg

Getting upwards towards apogy we find light rain (I know, just moisture in the clouds). So I wanna do a tunnel-in/out pic. It may not fare well with all the "Smoke" these mountains are omitting...

DSC01197_zpse2c8754e.jpg

There's a tunnel coming up (I think?)...

DSC01196_zps02c9afd9.jpg

DSC01198_zpsd830ea27.jpg

DSC01199_zpsaf474df4.jpg

Oooops!, well that didn't work out. Well, I've got something for tomorrow's photo assignment list I guess.

DSC01200_zps3e3837cb.jpg

I knew this was pretty much the end of the day in the Mountains as it was all down-hill from here...

DSC01201_zpsbd6b4457.jpg

DSC01208_zps1fe469b1.jpg

Stan was breathing easier, come to find out he wasn't a fan of the mile high stuff.

Thank you guys :) ...just a couple of days left, I'm trying to fit them in!

You are still doing wonderfully. How did the Steamer like the PR4 rear tire?
Well u need to know the Steam a lil bit... he's a tight-ass very frugal person, well to some extent anyways but he can be broken down. Being that the $275 was WAY more than what he spent on that 'econo' Conti-Motion (plus he installed himself), he was very gun-shy at first. After a couple of days of riding (and him going in for close examinations), he concurred and said "damn KJ, you may be right, that tire still looks brand new and it feels very planted in the turns, I think I'm now a Michelin-Man!".

He also said that the Conti-Mo felt almost as planted and performed up to his expectations, just the quick wear was the downfall. I think most of us here have about the same thought on this tire.

DAY 11

Sat 9/27/14 (Maggie Valley - EOM Rally)

Another beautiful day, wow, I don't think all summer long we have come close to racking up so many sequential superb days
smile.png

DSC01212_zpsb0c10007.jpg

Our route today was going to be the Cherahala Loop. It had a bunch of the Blue Ridge to lead us up to it first on some very rough roads
wink.png
....

cherohala.jpg

DSC01220_zps7d4f0a0e.jpg

DSC01223_zps6b88e815.jpg

Steve joined us on this ride. I rode w him before at SEO, he's a great guy and he brings all the paper maps ...that I don't!

Stan / Steve

DSC01225_zps9efd26e6.jpg

Cruising through the actual Smoky Mountain National Park now, being a Saturday and in the actual park... lots of tourists. At every waterfalls or phot-op stop there were at least 50 cars, so we cruised right by them...

DSC01228_zps5ebf7fc0.jpg

About an hour and half into the loop, I ask the boys if they are hungry for a breakfast stop? yepper, what else did I really expect? SO, I have Steve pull up nearby restaurants (on his GPS) as there was nothing on this isolated route for food-places. I pick one that sounds home-style, and have him lead the way through some mountain (barely) paved roads pathways. I had fun on these, it was actually pretty kewl, almost adventurous
smile.png

DSC01231_zpsd171d40e.jpg

Down the "road" aways, we find civilization and our B-Fast hole.

DSC01232_zpsc8f03c8c.jpg

I had the Western w Grits, fresh made biscuits.. not too shabby!

DSC01233_zpsd14afe30.jpg

Now officially outside the National Forest, I look on my GPS at out planned loop. Steve mentions that if we go straight through the town ahead we will shortcut the breakfast sidebar. I agreed fully, as it looked correct... cough-cough, more on this coming up. Also the most clouds we saw all trip so far
sad.png

DSC01234_zpsb98409e8.jpg

Now my GPS was still counting down miles at this time, not on the actual loop again (yet) tho...

DSC01235_zps691a79dd.jpg

Coming back into the Mountains and on the loop again, it gets familiar looking BUT... my GPS is now counting up miles?.

DSC01237_zps02ed4933.jpg

DSC01238_zpsa5204779.jpg

My two buddies are still with me, but I'm scratching my head somewhat, I'm now thinking the GPS has me going all the way back to pickup the road we missed via our B-Fast shortcut. DANG! If only the loop was made with Waypoints instead of Shaping points; as I could of skipped the pesky WP easily. Shaping points tho
sad.png

DSC01239_zpsdde1e850.jpg

They were nice roads however (like is there any bad ones here?), so, I kept going for awhile and finally I pull over and Steve pulls out his paper map. By this time we've already done over 150mi. We kind of plan some paper map strategy more or less seeking our way back to Maggie Valley (at least by dark I'm hoping).

DSC01244_zps9b83b348.jpg

We were now riding the outskirts of the Smokies, dipping in and out. New scenery.

DSC01245_zps3c8381d3.jpg

And still lots of lakes off the plateau

DSC01250_zps086d06d9.jpg

Solar power farm? With all the dam's (hydro power) I was surprised by this.

DSC01252_zps1259f2bf.jpg

It was now time to "carve" our way back to the hotel...

DSC01253_zps9655db87.jpg

Upon arrival, we find the start of the nightly BS session...

DSC01256_zps56630ffa.jpg

Here Steve is explaining (to Marty 'Oface') how KJ led our bunch off the beaten-path, and onto a "BikerGeeks Hot-Dog stand"... probably wrong State, but hey!, ya never know!

DSC01258_zps4fe87dbb.jpg

Don't laugh at me Mr. Marty Pantz! (and for once, he was actually wearing some!)

DSC01259_zps0da6932f.jpg

Allen (Allen_C) explaining some things about his bright and shiny Gen3 to newcomer Josh (Cav47). Allen outdid me for the Best-in-show class, he got his motel room wastebasket out for a wet-wash. We really never hit much rain to get my bike very dirty (dusty maybe) So, I stooped to drinking a beer and watching. (my bike is actually in the b/g covered, ready for nite-nite)

DSC01263_zps2ac3b802.jpg

Good conversations everywhere are now in full bloom...

DSC01260_zpsbb510665.jpg

DSC01261_zpsc8ea9018.jpg

DSC01262_zps79efe5d9.jpg

DSC01268_zps066b3952.jpg

As darkness settles, we are told it's banquet time...

DSC01265_zps12a6040d.jpg

Some are feeling no pain...

DSC01266_zps842400b5.jpg

On the banquet, I've got the same table images as everyone else has (already posted), so I'll spare you those... BUT!... I do have a "Money Shot"...

(to fill-in for those who weren't there)- Andy's (BikerGeek99) table basically went gonzo-ecstatic every time one of them (sitting at their table) got their number called for a door prize. They were alcohol-enthusiastic to say the least (AND! Good for them! ...have fun is always my motto!).

SO, Andy get's his number called, jumps up (like a Million dolla lottery winner), goes wild ass crazy, and, as he come up to accept his doorprize, he romantically meetsup with Doug "bugnatr" ...(who was sitting right next to me). Whoa, that exchange sure looked like tongue was near. LOL!

DAY 12

Sun 9/28/14

Originally I had the 1st part of this going on the fun roads prior to the slab. Leaving at 4:30am, our goal was to be home by darkness. Well, after setting out, it was cold!, we opted to get some miles down and steer towards almost all slab, which cut this leg down from 873mi to around 730mi.

MaggieVtoGeneva_zps4bbeee37.png

Temps are in the low 40's, here we are wrapping around the Bristol Motor Speedway on the top side of Tennessee.

DSC01277_zps4f03b922.jpg

Daylight appears and I watch the temps SLOWLY rise. A quick look back at what we left...

DSC01280_zpsb848fabc.jpg

I-81 is basically quite boring, especially after what was had down in NC & TN. A Let-down for sure, but it is 'Ride Home Day" which is depressing all in itself.

DSC01286_zps7b27a130.jpg

Finally off of I-81 (Harrisburg PA), and now on PA15 which will shoot us up to the NY's Southern Tier region.

DSC01282_zps5801a61d.jpg

...still better than slab!.. but still bland as I have now been to these area's lot's of times before. Willamsport PA, home of the Little League World Series. When I was a kid, you could see the whole field from this view. Built-up I guess with a parking lot obstructs the fields view, but it's just down the edge of the hill.

DSC01294_zps5edbb407.jpg

DSC01295_zps010690f3.jpg

Ya never know about da' Steamer, he's been known to just float off like to some Gentlemen's Club, or whatever catches his eye
wink.png
...so I keep 'my' eye on that boy...

DSC01290_zpsbab9afe8.jpg

We start to see Gold instead of all the Green that we have when we started this venture...

DSC01297_zps1fee1320.jpg

DSC01310_zpsf9a0efb5.jpg

Still about 2 weeks away from prime-time foliage colors...

DSC01312_zpsb779ba95.jpg

Coming into the Southern Tier (NY). 15 runs the gap between the Allegheny (West) and the Appalachian ridge (East).

DSC01320_zps38cd742c.jpg

DSC01326_zpsc7d6d51f.jpg

Home turf! (South end of Seneca Lake, Watkins Glen Rte-414). Y'all know it's kinda nice to return but sad also that your trip is pretty well shot.

DSC01332_zps55496f4e.jpg

So I'll give you some of my home turf views, I'm running up the East side of Seneca Lake on Rte 414...

DSC01339_zps5dc75e5d.jpg

Seneca Lake is the deepest freshwater lake east of the Rockies. Some reports have it as they have not found the bottom in some spots (lol) but generally 800-900ft depths are recorded for the lake. The Navy has a Sonar and Submarine testing location on it. Overall the lake is about 34mi long, 3.5mi wide at it's widest spot (midway).

DSC01346_zps706fffd9.jpg

Hector Falls drive-by right on Rte 414

DSC01342_zpsf5fa0fcc.jpg

So what's the area got beside lot's of lakes?

DSC01351_zpsbffe92db.jpg

Wineries, thousands of them. NO, really, we are saturated with them. The Finger Lakes makes a prime extended growing season for the grapes. The heat from the lake(s) in the late fall give the grapes that additional time needed to finish-off.

Here's of sprinkling of some of those wineries, and with a couple of miles of one another...

DSC01354_zps4c3aad56.jpg

DSC01359_zpsdfe2380e.jpg

DSC01363_zps93229439.jpg

DSC01364_zps30d97609.jpg

And endless grapes...

So the big business here now is the tourists (or Wino's would be more appropriate!). All the Wineries give "Tastings" or samples of their wines. You enter, get a menu of the wines, you point to one and they have a bottle being tipped in your glass before you can say thank you. Of course the name of the game is that you hopefully end up buying a bottle (or two, or even a case!) to take home with you.

Wine touring is basically; you get a DD or limo/bus etc. and your group goes "Wine-ing". After about 6 or 8 stops, most are pretty buzzed and it's a show within the wineries and parking lots. Half the fun (for me) when I do a Wine-hop, is all the fun (drunk) people. Oh yeah, mega groups of women do this by the bye, and I'll let you vision the rest

Here's a couple of large group Wino's, daily routes from Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo flock in on the weekends. It's a Sunday nite now, so kind of mello here and some are now closed being that it's after 6pm..

Getting real close to home, I'm going to veer off of 414 to the lower lake road, I can see my day ride has consumed 735mi (much shorter than planned)...

I know the 6 cylinder beast really get's outstanding mileage, so I had to check...

DSC01398_zps1f3c40d7.jpg

Total trip was 4540. Just about what I had planned prior (5K). Having 2 tires replaced on 2 different (1/2) days, a small shortcut on the way home and it is pretty much spot-on subtracting what we lost with those.

Some people mover observations;

Mileage? Was awesome as usual, no I didn't average 50 like some can/do on K1600forum.com. I was still happy, true I could of babied it but what fun is that? I rode several matching rides with some FJR's as well. They were almost as efficient, but for 5 speed, very respectable.

Performance? Holy, we don't even need to go here.

Comfort? Awesome. Maybe not what a Hondapotumus is or would of been, but still a real treat! Seat fatigue was nothing like my FJR. I will bow and say the RDL owners still have it much better. Hey, some day maybe

Weather? Unbelievable. It rained on us 1 morning, starting out from Gaylord MI. It was cold and dark (6am) but it gave way by the time we reached the Mackinac Bridge. Another morning we saw some rain (I think it was Sat AM in LaCrosse). We just extended our Coffee at the Days Inn and it passed by. Other than that, it was perfect.

There were some things I would change if I were to emulate the ride again. Most of the lodging was done on an economical basis, Stan appreciated this but also was the first to complain. It is what it is, our lodging per nite average (non Rally nites) was $66.23 (incl taxes). I pre-booked everything through Choice Hotels or Wyndam Rewards, the savings were quite substantial. eg; Checking-in at Fayetteville AR, a ride-up guest inquired about a double bed room and the price given was exactly $40 more than our room was. I just smiled at Stan and told him after. So ad-libbing may be nice, pre-booking with the discounts was a definite savings. Benefit both ways, depends on what you like the most I guess.

All the people I met were great. Both FJR Rally's were awesome, both different in their own way, both with totally different surroundings. I'm glad we took in both and I don't have any regrets.

I've already serviced my bike, it's ready for my next endeavor, but it may have to wait for the white stuff to come and go. In the mean time I will continue to drool over your RR's and especially the good weather folks who will continue to ride. Awesome guys and I'm jealous!!!!

Thank you so much guys, I'm still learning from some of the best RR's here! Maybe next year it will be a more scenic and an out West adventure :)

Ulysses Pro Speedometer, unfortunately it is a pay app :(

I rarely ever call it up anymore. On long trips, I like to load up the GPS app: 'Co-Pilot' on the phone, then put it in a far out 2D view, so then I have 2 maps running, the bike's GPS is always in T/T 3D directs, Co-Pilot in a flat map view (like a paper map).
