Working on a friends 2005 HD Sportster Custom, electrical issues. Need to get a manual for it, but would rather not spend 50 bucks on one. (I don't work on HD's much). Anyone have any experience with any online manuals? I have found a few for $10-$15 but have no idea hoe good they are. Thanks for any input!

They're almost always pirated and we don't do that on this forum. It's up to you to decide if your karma can handle the load, and if so...do the queries as some other place than this forum.

RE: Factory Service Manuals (edited because someone tried to make a point that aftermarket manuals were available which isn't this discussion)

While Yamaha may have provided digital versions to servicing dealers (for a subscription fee), they have never done so for the general consumer community. To date, all queries from on-line purveyors has either gone silent when asked or admitted it wasn't an authorized version.

So you may have had them at the shop but personal copies were (most likely) not authorized by Yamaha.

And this IS a Yamaha model forum.
