RadioHowie I just sent you a PM with the exact location, it will take Denny months to find it! jes' sayin' and nuff said, aye!

There's an 08 listed here on the forum. I have an 08 and can tell you many of the earlier versions idiosyncrasy's have been worked out! I'm just over 100,000 kms absolutely trouble free miles! Worth a look anyway.
Yo Flibmeister, True Friends don't let their Friends ride Gen2 FJR's! There's a nice 2003 Gen1 FJR with only 33K miles up in Prescott. The original FJR, still the best FJR! JSNS! https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2003-Yamaha-FJR1300-112433814 Here is my beautiful Lucy Liu '03 with SkooterG! bgross: Take good care of my sweet Baby!

Papa Chuy Viejo has to confess to a Great Mortal Sin, I rode a Hondoo Lead Wing yesterday. My Buddy Denny is looking at buying an FJR, so we rode to Globe for breakfast and I rode his Barcalounger! I feel so damn dirty and totally ashamed, I went to Mass this morning and said the Rosary a dozen times, lit ten candles! I'm so damn embarrassed, may Blessed Mary and All Saints forgive me! jes' sayin' and nuff said, ese! (I just hope I didn't get any Honda cooties)

Did you try the automatice Latte' maker? Get a lesson on operating the jukebox?

Don do you have a sudden desire to visit a Dairy Queen

If you do, then you have a cootie infection.

Brother Don, I've PM'd 25-30 of the other fellows on the Forum, and done a bit of a survey.

Without exception, we agree that that gigantic motorbike fits you like a glove.

You look content, ...and COMFORTABLE!

El Caballero de la Couch.

Never seen Don look so good, that Wing makes him look 20 pounds lighter and years younger.

Rest assured that Lucille is enjoying her life here.

That '03 in Prescott Valley is a beauty! And with 33k miles, barely broken in....

That 2003 does look tasty... and relatively cheap!

But, I'm a big fan of ABS, and I have a phobia about heat issues. I realize the presence (or absence) of heat issues on the Gen I are subjective, but if I can avoid the subject altogether, plus get ABS, by moving into Gen II ... that's rather appealing.

EDIT: Just took a look at the ad on this forum for the '08 in Oregon-- sounds perfect for me, even has a lowering kit installed. Hmmm.....

Denny, there is NO bad year for the FJR! I love teasing the Gen2 schmucks, but they are fine machines. Regarding the Gen1 heat issue, our Administrator Dale "Warchild" Wilson detailed a heat fix for my 2003 and I installed it exactly as described. Never was bothered by the heat of my 2003, easy and inexpensive to do!

When we were in Sparks, Don said he didn't dare let Donna near a wing cause she would throw rocks at the BMW. JSNS

This is 100% true, we AZ Beemers have three couples/members who ride Gold Wings. Those rotten dirty Bastards are always trying to get my Donna to ride a few miles on their Hondapotamus, I live in fear that she will do it and I'll have to buy a Lead Wing!

I mean, it's not like I DON'T want to wear a matching outfit with my Girlfriend Donna.

But what about that last couple, different T-shirts!! I think they are ready to trade the GL for a K1600GT or an FJR.

When I first met Don, he swore he'd never own or ride a K-bike. I got endless crap when I bought my K1200RS. Then, lo and behold, came his K16, so it's only a matter of time...
