As I was ordering some of this stuff, I noticed the auto version could be had cheaper than the motorcycle 'formula.' Is there any difference between them and is it o/k to use the the car stuff on my FJR tires?

Thanks.

Jack.

You opened up a post that will probably go to NEPRT. Only a few hours will tell.

Not an expert here, but from the countless hours I've spent reading on this forum I've learned the tire sealant is not the best choice. Some say there may be damage to the interior of the rim. Some say that the person who replaces the tire with the sealant inside will not be a happy camper. Some say they have had great success with the sealant. IMHO if you are going to carry and use sealant on your bike then at least get a reputable brand, maybe the green stuff.

I don't carry any of it on my bike but rather repair strings/patches and a mini air compressor.

Just my $0.03 worth.

I should have been more specific. I'm not asking if Ride On is a good idea/product or not. I have used it successfully for years. I want to know if there is a difference between the motorcycle version and the auto variety.

w/o recalling the brand, was on a ride when co-rider discovered flat in the morning.

He went to grocery store, bought sealant, into tire, rode 3 blocks & pumped up further per can directions:

showed multiple leaks (~12) with green seeping out. pressure held.

he ran that tire w/o further attention for about 4,000 more miles. And didn't baby it. SV650.

Some say no tire/wheel assembly is complete unless there's a sealer inside...

Some wouldn't install the stuff on-a-bet -- but, would replace/repair a problem...

Some install car tires on motorcycles...

I haven't heard of motorcycle tires on cars (yet)...

I guess I'm no help...?
