I was wondering what the maximum weight capacity of the saddlebags is on my FJR 2005. I run a machine shop and a customer wants me to come look at a job tomorrow, with the weather being great I want to ride the motorcycle but I may need to bring back three rolls that weigh about 33lbs each. I can strap one to the back luggage rack but I am not sure if the saddlebags will hold the weight. I did a quick scan and did not find the answer, sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else on the board.

You may be pushing the load limit of each of the saddle bags. You DEFINITELY don't want to add the extra weight behind the axle and high (on the plastic rack). Strap it to the passenger seat instead.

The details are in your owners manual.

Or on a decal in the bag.

Thanks for the help the decal inside the bag shows a maximum of 22lbs so i guess I will just have them ship the parts to me later... I just can't drive the F-150 on a day like tomorrow.
