Justin,

I ride in the rain. I noticed the other day that I got a lot of condensation behind the lens. I haven't tried taking these apart to see if their is O-ring or something behind the bezel. Is their supposed to be? They are advertised as IPX7.

I noticed the same thing on mine, but only on one side.

I'm going to take mine apart and grease the o-ring (yeah, there is one) with silcone grease and see if it will seal up better. If that doesn't cut it, next will be silicone sealant.

Yup, it's a simple o-ring seal behind the front bezel. Our latest batches are using a thicker diameter ring on that seal. If you're having a problem with fogging, please send me a message and we'll get you sorted out.

Just ordered a set of the LR4s with dimmer. Now to find some mounts for my '13

Thanks!

And send a message to forum member Garauld here. He is the only one I am aware of making Gen3 brackets.
Thanks

I found some at Twisted Throttle for $45.

Got a link? I'm not seeing any light brackets for the 13-14 FJR
They're listed as 06-12 but I emailed TT and asked about the '13 and was told they fit.

We currently have our monster LR5's discounted right now. FJR15 still applies on top of that.

LR5 series sale links:

Single LR5, 5000 Lumen light - Regularly $140, Sale Price $130

LR5 Pair, 10,000 Lumens! - Regularly $275, Sale Price $255

Here's a shot of two Silverstar H4 highbeams in action (in the Minivan). These are roughly 1500-1600 Lumens each.

About 500 feet to the tree line at the farthest away trees, and the LR5's just rip through and light everything up. A set reaches out past 1000 feet, and unlike other lights with that claim, it's not a super narrow beam. You see everything. Pictures barely do them justice. Best bang for the buck for high quality, tough lights, that will take a beating and light up the night. These are large lights, so not for everyone. If you're the kind of person that sticks 4 inch HIDs on your bike, these are right up your alley

Hey Justin, any interest in bundling a pair of LR64 with dimmer like the great deal on the LR4's?

And very early on in this tread, you mentioned the dimmer's PCB, were there any pics of the PCB in the box before it's sealed up? There's some fuses just barely in the way behind the battery I'm fighting with (about 1-2 mm interference)

Thanks,

Peter

I'm actually clearing out the LR64's, and I have one set left that I will make you a great deal on with a dimmer. Shoot me a PM for more info you're interested.

And will this picture work? Just snapped it.

hey, I just noticed a foggy LR4. What a coincidence.

So should I unscrew, silicon grease oring?

PM Sent! Thank you.

Thanks Ion.... didn't see that thread.... appreciate the redirection
Just a quick blurb on the topic here. I was not impressed with early attempts at LED "bulb" replacements. But, LED headlight tech is improving drastically in performance at a fast rate. There's a lot of testing being done before these go up for sale. I'm very happy with results so far. Will hopefully get some comparative pictures this weekend.

On another note - these are a stock light replacement, not an HID replacement. They will give you a decent bump in performance, about 2500 lumens, compared to stock H4 highbeam, which will be 1000-1500 or so depending on the bulb. Power draw is 25.8 watts. On dual headlight system like the FJR, that frees up about 68 watts :) .
