Renegade - one of the sweet mysteries of life - we don't know when we have started the back 9 of life!

At 72 years of age, I hope to soon out grow my youthful foolishness and become mature. My wife says there is no hope. See you all at SW-FOG, WFO, and CFO.

Ok, it's firmly established, then, that we are a bunch of comfort seeking geezers. :dribble:
put in perspective, a recent Wing World reported that their AVERAGE membership (GWRRA) age was "over 50".

we're spring chickens compared to the color-coordinated dairy queen crowd.

I wouldn't say that I'm Donald Trump
so you're not broke, bald and begging for attention?

Are you saying he wears a rug?!!!?

Might I be the youngest at 28? The fact is the FJR is THE best all around motorcycle around. It has the performance potential that will suprise alot of 600's, and the 2-up capacity I need for the wife. And it's still a cool looking bike. :clapping: I've always been wise beyond my years.

WITHOUT QUESTIONS, THE BEST STATEMENT OF THIS WHOLE THREAD! You sir, ARE wise beyond your years!

39 years old here. The wife is 30. We want to do longer trips and the 06FZ1 was not doing the trick. Hopefully we can go for a ride sometime with the old farts here. Heading to Solvang this Saturday for a test run.

Well, CK, you can be my deputy. :p

I'll have to decline the offer.

The last time I was in law inforcement was the 3rd grade in 1950. I was given my white crossing guard safety belt and badge.

I began kicking kids out of line that very day.

Just too much power.

It went to my head.

I was removed from the "force" the very next day.

I never looked back. But, I never went into law inforcement again. I just can't handle police powers!

I don't always obey the law all the time either. (got a speeding ticket a month ago!)

How old am I again? After 21, there aint nothing to look forward to/bother thinking about until 40 starts approaching. I was born in January 1979 so that makes me 28 (I bought my FJR last year at the ripe old age of 27).

One thing I have found interesting is trying to explain to younger people what kind of motorcycle I have. For example, someone will ask “is it a crotch rocket?” No. “Is it a Harley?” No. I tell them I have a 2006 Yamaha FJR1300A… then I go with the definition Yamaha gave it… it is a “Super Sport Tourer.” What do I get? Looks of bewilderment.

Tis the love child of a union between a Hayabusa and a Goldwing.

61 here - FJR's seem to be known as an "old mans bike" in Australia!! :waaa: :to_become_senile: Loved my first two wheeled motorised vehicle - Go the LAMBRETTA!
