I just got off the phone with Dave, and he asked me to post a message to his forum family.

I think most of you are aware that Dave had an arterial anuerysm repaired in May. He was home soon afterwards, and mending well.

On Friday, June 4th, Dave suffered a stroke while in bed, and then fell when he tried to get up. This happened early morning, his wife Charlene was right there, and called 911.

Dave is back home now, and healing well, but he is physically impacted by the stroke, the right side of his body being affected. He states that he is doing well, but is looking at a long road back.

He wanted me to tell all of you that he appreciates the friendship of the forum. He won't be posting much as he has difficulty handling the computer, but he can certainly read !! So start posting !!

EDIT- June 27. Dave wanted me to tell you that he will not be in attendance at WFO-9.

I've met Dave and don't have a clue as to his age, but he's my hero...

He may be livin like me, and is only 55, but I don't care....

My ex-husband had a stroke when we were married... sounds very similar to your experience, Dave... he tried to get up to go to bed but one side of his body wasn't working... fortunately, I was right next to him so kind of eased him to the ground before calling 911 thus avoiding the falling part. It was very scary for a bit but with therapy and a little time, he was back to almost 100%. Take a deep breath, do the exercises, focus, and believe you can do it... cause we know you can! B)
