    Looking For Russell Daylong Seat

FYI, Russell will adjust your seat for the same amount a new one cost. If it were your seat originally and for some reason you gained or lost weight then yes they would adjust your seat. In this case being the second or third owner it will cost you just as much as a new customer, which...

    Looking For Russell Daylong Seat

Ski, just go ahead and buy one from Russell that is built to your dimensions, you'll be much happier. Been the used route and it was a miserable ride.

    Bought a Honda Valkyrie

Going tomorrow to Indiana to pick up my "new to me" 1999 Interstate. Will post pics when I return. Hope she looks as good in person as she does in the pictures. Schaweeeeet.

How long does the pain last.

When you decide that a custom seat is the answer make sure that you get one built to your specs, not a used one that was made for someone 25-30lbs heavier or leaner than you are. My 07 that I bought used had a Russell Day Long heated seat and I tried and tried to get use to that seat but it was...

Really starting to love this bike!

If your not going to mount your new rubber yourself, I highly recommend Two Brothers tires in Lawrenceville, great to do business with. Just think your new hoops will be broke in on the ride home. Give them a call 770-963-7374. Just a satisfied customer no affiliation.

Garmin Nuvi GPS (Car) with Motorcycle?

How bout some pictures of the set ups? V65 looked at yours anybody else want to post? I currently have the techmount stem nut but my 2720 crapped out on me and was giving the Nuvi's serious consideration as a replacement. Garmin did knock the factory rebuild price down from $180 to $130. Still...

    Wanting a Valkyrie Interstate

I have been reading up on the Valkyrie Interstate for the past few months with most all of them saying that the Valk is the best bike they have ever owned. If i can find one that I can't do without I'll probably buy it. Being a former wing-a-holic the size of the valk is not an issue, kinda miss...

    Wanting a Valkyrie Interstate

If anyone has any input on this bike let me know. There is one around the corner from me that I will be looking at in the near future. Would like to know about the 2up aspect and how well you liked the Valkyrie or if you thought it was a piece of junk. Lets here it.

    Wanted-Gen II Stock Seat

I will check into that. When I called Russell roughly 2 months ago it was supposedly going to be $100 plus shipping to modify the seat to my specs. I'll give them a call in the a.m.

    Wanted-Gen II Stock Seat

Need to send my Russell back and get it modified for me.(previous owner was 25-30lbs heavier than me). Could be with out a seat for 2 weeks. Would like to buy or rent a front seat until my seat returns. Can't get use to that Russell the way it is now, took a trip to Panama City Beach for Thunder...

    Spring Maintenance 2009

Had an estimate given to me of roughly $800.00 just to repack the steering head bearing and the swingarm bearing, nothing else. According to my stealer it was 13 hours labor for the job. So using that scenario to accomplish all that you did for $600 would be around 1200-1500 crazy isn't it. Then...

    Cornering confidence

Sounds to me like you are trying to find a reason to buy the wing. If the wing fits you better and gives you the confidence you desire then by all means sell the FJR and buy a wing. All we have ever tried to tell folks here is to buy the bike that fits you and if the wing is it then so be it...

    Cheap iPod mount

I use my iPod nano when i run. Got an idea to see if i could find a spot on the Feej to mount it. I use one of those arm bands with the velcro closure. This particular arm band made by samsonite and sold at wally world fits nicely around the brake fluid resevoir. I don't use a tank bag so this...

Tips For Safe Interstate Riding - 1st Road Trip

slo-ride, I'm gonna have to side with Spook on this one unless your under some kind of time constraints a good GPS an ipod loaded with your favorite tunes and great two lanes are always my choice for travel. If you do not have an ipod get yourself some ear plugs and try them out riding around...
