I was told that the red panel for the Givi V47 has been discontinued. Of course I found this out after I received this top case and it came in matte black instead of with the metallic red panel I wanted.
During Yamaha Demo Days this past June at a nearby dealership I rode a 2014 FJR. I did end up buying a new one towards end of July. In early August Yamaha sent me an offer of 2 years YES at no charge if I purchased a new Yamaha. I used this and piggy backed another 2 years at my cost ($280)...
I could not get them to work well with the stock handgrips without modification so I left mine off. If I ever replace the grips then I will try them again.
Looking to replace my Avons for an upcoming trip. Dealer has a sale - 50% off Dunlops. Anybody try the D208 tires on their FJR? If so, how do they compare to other tires you've tried? In the past I've gotten 5500 - 6000 miles from the Avons but last set is almost at wear bear at 4000 miles.
I've used the Shoei chrome/silver face shield for the past couple years. It is not quite as dark as the tinted shields or typical sunglasses, but I'm happy with it.
The shield is still in great shape with only a couple nicks after about 20K miles. I agree that you need to keep a clear shield...
Rear OEM Metzler replaced at 5800 miles and replaced with Avon. This lasted about the same mileage. I replace tires when they're down to the wear bars. I consider myself a slightly aggressive rider but not doing wheelies or burnouts.

High filtration = low flow rate
Low filtration = high flow rate
Under a heavy throttle is the oil going through the filter? Depends on the flow rate of the filter...
I have the P115W-D. The modulator unit connects to the headlight bulb and the standard 3-pin connector plugs into the back of the modulator. There is not enough room between the inside of the fairing and the modulator unit to plug in the 3-pin connector.
I checked the Kisan site for the...
Received the Kisan headlight modulator for Xmas and tried installing it this evening on my '05. I'm having trouble installing the one on the right side. There is interference with the inside of the fairing. I might be able to force it on but I'm worried that over time the pressure of the...
I have had the Kisan modulator on my V-Strom for the past few months. Very easy to install and it has been working fine.
Initially I was worried about negative reactions from cars, etc. A car the other day flashed their lights at me and a taxi driver complained at a stop light, but that has...
