I don't think you can go wrong with Russell or Bill Mayer but considering the great customer service I was given, better pricing, faster service and just a flat out awesome looking seat it was BMS for me...still on my break in, did a little over 200 miles yesterday and all was great.

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah I've read a few people having problems and some not. Guess it all comes down how loaded the bike is to how hard someone's gonna ride and what exact peg/extention set up they have off the mounts. What part of your set up hit first...? I would think the problem is...

Well maybe "Semi-Iron butt mods". I should have done this a long time ago...having made several long hauls over the past couple of years, figured I'd make a few changes before the wife and I make our journey to TN, NC and VA. Looking foward to finishing the first 'real' set of mods to the FJR...

Thanks for all the info...I'm pretty much a GPS virgin so...how I understand it is I can install a memory card and it will remember the route I took and keep it in memory...? Do you know if the 550 has better mapping for they're base map or are you saying most if not all the base maps are...

Does anyone know how good the autoroute basemap is on the Garmin 276 and if there are any other good/compatable road maps available other than the 'automotive kit' they offer that seems to be tailored more toward city info...?
