Beemerdons,
Thanks for the advice on AZ rides. I managed to stay busy and logged ~2500 miles on the bike. With the cold snap I felt like I was riding in MN in April. Then today with the rain.......
We're heading back next Thursday the 31st.
Thanks again,
Dan
Arrived. Got to Phoenix Sunday after the 1600 mile trek. Staying in a rental condo in Ahwatukee a few miles from our daughter and family. I'm fairly familiar with the area having been here a half dozen time or so visiting family but would welcome any advice on where to ride. I'd like to include...
I'm spending January 2013 in Phoenix and am considering trailering the fjr from Minnesota. I've considered renting while I'm there but there are insurance implications.
1. How is the riding in January?
2. Recommended rides?
I picked up a used 5x10 enclosed trailer and use it as a garage for the bike. The lights and recorder may be good for the kids but I remember what I did as a kid in a nicely lit new car lot. I didn't need a flashlight to give myself away. Just sayin'
Out of sight, out of mind.
I had some work to do under the nose cowling and I ran across these unused plugs and a termination
Nice shiny unused termination on right side
These are on the left side
There is an identical 3 wire rectangular plug on the right side also.
Know what their use is?
Well, now that I feel like a complete idiot I know the box is not broke. Big but not broke. I sent AdMore an email to see if what I got from them is what DaveB is referring to. I think not. I can almost fit my old Givi box inside this new monster.
The E55 got delivered yesterday. Everybody was right, it is HUGE. But I don't know if I have a problem or not. I consider myself very mechanical but I can not figure out how the handle gets released. No matter what I do it stays flush and closed.
Help
Another question, if you get one of the replacement lids, e.g. gloss silver, do you replace a lid that's already on the box or does it go over it?
I'm thinking, if the box is constructed with a removable lid, I could have that painted.
