Here is an update. Just got back from a 800+ mile day. There is no way I could have made it without these taki's. Like Randy says the linkadapters and the Taki's make a huge diff in riding longevity. I was on the bike for over 14 hours and today my hands are a little numb but no where near...
Had a big taste of heat last Saturday. Decided I needed to get home after a week of sweet riding in the Markleeville area of Calli. Ended up in Redding headed north at 1pm heading to Seattle. You could feel the heat build as I lowered my elevation. The temps in the valley were low 100's. I...
I've been checking out some of these cooling options. For $29.95 plus shipping I don't see how you can beat it. The sahara vest is $88 from motorcycle closeout. If you want to try one of these vests check out soundrider.com. Don't worry I don't work there or have a vested interest. I'm just...
Heading out on Sunday for a long touring ride of Northern Calli. Have been struggling with the vibes. I hooked on the Taki touring grips and the Vista Cruise. I wanted to find a set of lightweight gel gloves for the trip. Went to 6 different cycle shops, tried the online thing, NOTHING that...
Got a set off a member selling them. Installed them and yes they need to be trimmed on the end. My review is they really helped with the "bad vibes" I was getting. Night and day. The shape and the thickness really made my hands and wrists way more comfortable. That and the vista cruise has...
I started a new topic on an evaporative cooling vest I tried. Worked great, check it under the title "everybody hot enough". Recomend it highly. Stay cool.
Been watching the CNN and feel for all of you out there struggling with this heat. I found something that I tried today and it might help some of you. I ordered a evaporative cooling vest from the site soundriderdotcom. The vest is a techniche brand. I was a bit skeptical about the whole...
Been searching for a spot to pickup the Taki Grand touring grips. Anyone have a good supplier and approximate price. They look like they really absorb vibration. Thanks
Now that I have had both, get the ABS. I am struggling adapting to the non-abs. I could brake way harder with the abs before you felt the shudder of the unit modulating the brakes. I'll get it figured out but dread the emergency stop I know i am going to have to make sooner or later...
