I still have my FJR but bought a 2013 650 VStrom a few months ago. I really like it. It's light, comfortable and is fun to ride. I got it for day/weekend trips where I didn't need all the FJR has to offer. I did a 1000 mile trip on it and it did great.

I'm going to get a Nelson Rigg half cover but am not sure of what size. I did a search and found many using the XL but I think everyone had a top case (I don't) so should I get the large or would the XL work just as well. Thanks Gary

I just use the outlet in the glovebox. Ran the cord out the bottom and up to the GPS (fork stem mounted). Works great....

Got to sit on the new Triumph Trophy today. It looks to be a very nice bike. Bigger that the FJR (about the same as a BMW RT). I liked how it felt sitting on it...knees tuck in tight to the tank, windshield looks like it would work well, good sounding stereo,IPod hook up, XM. If I didn't like...

I rode from East Tennessee to Thunder Bay and around Superior this year. While I don't remember the distance it was a long way from Thunder Bay to we found gas and food (this was going east). I'm sure there are others here who could give you better information. Really nice ride and my first time...

I was going to send them my seat around the end of Nov....of course if something is worked out for a group buy that could all change.

I just turned 24,000 on mine today....no issues and runs like a dream. I've had 2 ST1300's...good bikes, but mine were way to hot for me (is for some and not others). Gary

I want one...tried a friends bike with one and I have to say after 45 years on bikes, all types of seats I have never sat on one that felt that good. Problem is I don't want to wait to Dec/Jan to do mine. Gary

I'm a Triumph fan (especially the triples) but will have to wait and see it in person. Also as others have stated may be a new FJR next year. I have ridden the new Triumph Explorer and really liked it...NICE engine and I really liked the cruise control. Gary
