I've also only ridden sport bikes my whole life and I still have my ZZR1200 which is supposedly a "Sport-Touring" bike as well but the FJR wins hands down for sports-TOURING, especially with a passenger. I drug the pegs on the FJR the day after I bought it and I've done it a few more times...

My FJR had 13,700 when I bought it and there was a Z4 on there. It was cupped and just about worn out but I pushed it to 15K miles before I replaced it with a new Z6. There was also a Z4 on the rear that appeared to have a couple of thousand miles on it, and it's getting within a grand or two...

My source has them for $6.94 each plus shipping. I usually order a bunch of stuff at once so the shipping is not that big of a deal with the money I save total from local bike stores.

I've used 40 in my ZZR for 3 years and since the FJR is only a few pounds heavier I'm using 40 in both tires and all seems well. In the past, I only ran the fronts at 34-36 and experianced some cupping before I was even halfway through the tire's life so I keep them higher now and they last a...

I just put the Z6 on my front and have a Z6 in the garage waiting on the Z4 to reach the end of it's service life. Don't know the specific part numbers but I bought them here: ZZR Bikes Store (Atlanta Cycle) I got the front for $98 and the Rear for $135

I've got 24K on my ZZR and have bought a service manual, 2 torque wrenches, vacuum gauges, angled feeler gauges, chain break tool, deep well sockets, motion pro hex axle tool (which also fits the FJR), Mighty Vac brake bleeder, motion pro auxillary fuel tank, extended 4MM hex tool, and various...

Well, this well be a good test of your patience then... I may have to pay the bike off before I can do much with it...

Hijack hijack-Has anyone tried the Carbonne Lorraine pads on the FJR. I've got them on the shelf for my ZZR when the braided lines arrive but have not heard anything about them on the FJR. Side note, the stock brakes on the FJR are LIGHT YEARS ahead of the stock brakes on the ZZR. I checked...
