    I can't help myself!

Welcome to Idaho. You'll find loads of roads around here to stretch that GenIII out . .

    2010 Intermittant Low Idle

I wound up taking the bike to the local dealership and they found an air pressure sensor in the intake that had developed a crack in the plastic housing causing bad readings to be sent to the ECU. A little plastic epoxy and I'm back in business. Thanks for all the suggestions. Now I'm ready for...

    2010 Intermittant Low Idle

Yes, the engine was hot. But at that time, it was idling at 1100-1200 rpm. The diag has not been run during "stumbling" idle.

Forget to mention that I have also done the TPS diagnostic.

    2010 Intermittant Low Idle

Warm idle is at 1100-1200. When stumbling sets in, idle drops to 40-500 rpm. The grounding spider issue is beginning to look like a reality.

    2010 Intermittant Low Idle

This is beginning to drive me nuts. I've posted here before about my low idle and have gotten good suggestions and fixed a bad TBS job. Now the fun begins. I have a 24 mile commute on back roads at 50 - 60 mph until I reach the Interstate and ride 75 for 7 miles to the plant I work at. For the...

    Low idle on '10. FJR

My hat's off to RadioHowie. I turned all four air screws for 1 & 1/2 and the idle came right up . Thanks for the tip. I learned something about proper TBS adjustments .

    Low idle on '10. FJR

Bike has 12516 miles on it and has developed a stumbling low idle (500 - 600 rpm) after sitting this winter. I have installed new plugs, air filter and the TBS is spot on. I had to set the idle to 1000 - 1100 by the throttle and my Vista cruise. The idle adjustment screw is turned clockwise all...

Garmin 765T successfully paired with Cardo G4

The reason I was interested in your modification is because of my Scala Q2 Pro and a Tom Tom Via "Bluetooth". As you well know, the Tom Tom will only recognize a phone with no GPS capability. I had originally purchased a bluetooth transmitter to listen to my Ipod through my Scala, and that works...

Garmin 765T successfully paired with Cardo G4

Do you know what the output 3.5mm is originally for? Earbuds or data? This gives an idea for a mod I could do to my Tom Tom and tie in one of those blutooth transmitters.

    GPS and Helmet Bluetooth

In an effort to save some coin while outfitting for a upcoming Alaska trip, I purchased a Tom Tom Via Bluetooth GPS. This GPS will pair to my phone, but will not pair to my Scala Cardo Q2 Pro or to my Uclear helmet communication devices. Short of spending a thousand bucks on a Zumo 735, what...

Russel Seats and the FJR seat spacer

I received my Russel a short time back and haven't had a real chance to break it in as the winter weather around here is just beginning to abate. My question is about the seat spacer under the front seat: the spacer is what sets the seat height, but can it (should it) be removed for the new...

What size is tapped hole left of clutch?

Thanks for the tip. And, yes it is the best!

What size is tapped hole left of clutch?

There's a tapped hole just left of the clutch reservoir on the left handlebar assembly that I'd like to find out what size it is. It would be perfect for a RAM ball and stem. Anybody know the hole I'm referring to? And if so, what size is it? Thanks -

    Garauld Highway Plates

After missing out on Wild Bills Highway Plates due to his untimely demise, I was at a loss about what to do before my Alaska trip this coming June. Fortunately, Gary of Garauld Techworks saw my posts and mailed me with his idea. Today I received my new highway plates: the workmanship is superb...
