    Yamaha new oil filter

I just bought an oil filter for my 05 FJR. It's not as long as the old one and the parts man said that Yamaha has changed it and given it a new part number. Anyone looked into this? Is this new filter correct or is this some scam by parts? I'm leary of puting it on. Phil

    Stuck caliper bolt

Thanks for all the advice Guys. A friend suggested using the dremel to cut the head off. This would release the torque on the threads and let the caliper come off. Then vice grips on the blt should turn it out. Anyone tried this approach? If I can't solve this by Saturday I will come over...

    Need a front wheel

I've got a 2004. I was down by Lowman ID. and hit a rock. Punctured the tire and bent the rim of my front wheel. Snake River Yamaha put on a new tire and a tube and got me going again. Those guys are great, but I need a new wheel. Any body got a line on a straight front wheel for a 2004? I...

    Throttle transition problem

Here's an update. Cleanes the connector and applied de-ox. Checked the TPS. It starts at 16 and goes to 100 in 1 increments. No dropout at room temp. However the problem still exists. Not sure what to try next. Phil

    Throttle transition problem

I've got an 05 which I bought new in 05. It has run well until summer of 09. Then it started to act up. It is exhibiting a hesitation when coming back on the throttle from engine overrun. Such as when you're trying to motor through town at an even speed. Between the slight off and on...

    WFO

Not getting an early start sound like my kind of rider. There are 5 of us from around the Northwest, (Bellingham, Seattle, Olympia, Eugene), that get together in June, July and August for a week ride. We all around your age so comfort is more important than speed. Would you be interested in...

    vancouver bc to glacier np

It was the first then the Aussies had a bigger one built. The tires are 10 feet tall and it uses a train engine. Also a good place to streach the legs. If you stay at East Glacier take the loop south and west over Marias Pass to Kalispiel then back through the park to East Glacier. Going...

    vancouver bc to glacier np

Yes, do 3 going over. Take it all the way to Pincer Creek, B.C. Then south on highway 6 to Waterton Lakes Park, the Canadian side of Glacier. Then on south on US 17 and 89 to Glacier. At Fernie B.C. look for the worlds 2nd largest truck. Taking US 20 back will make a very good trip. Enjoy...

    Montana trip planning suggestions?

Waterton Lakes Park in Canada. Also the loop up to Crowsnest Pass on Canada Highway 3 then back to Glacier. Another good road is Hiway 2 along the south border of Glacier. Be sure to stop at the lodge built by the Great Northern Railway. But then, from Boseman you're less than a day from...

Washington State and British Columbia after WFO

Banff and Jasper Natl Parks in Canada, the icefields highway. If you've come this far and DON'T see them you have missed the most spectacular area of the continent. Beats anything in WA or OR. Phil
