    Wind Screen Recommendations

Here's a hint: I have 5 windscreens. I occasionally switch back to one I had earlier and it seems better. Then another one - that's neat... rinse, repeat. Currently using a Puig, which actually seems to have produced an objective difference - a mild increase in fuel mileage. Two of the 5, BTW...

    :..Aux Plug not working..:

IIRC I once plugged an adapter into that socket and it didn't work because the adapter plug was too short to reach the center contact. Be sure something like that isn't happening.

    EarthX battery install issues

This is a re-post, as Bounce accidentally deleted it: Mount the cable terminal underneath the adapter, bringing the bolt from underneath, also. There is no need for a nut. On the EarthX site they list several options for bringing the battery out of its over-discharge protection state. It does...

    EarthX battery install issues

Here's the better way to deal with the ground wire terminal. The EarthX comes with relocation adapters for the terminals. That tab that points down can be worked around by mounting the cable terminal under the adapter and then mounting the adapter to the terminal. The alternative is flattening...

    Battery Of Choice

The fact that a battery starts the bike is no real guarantee it's still in good shape. Several (OK, many) years ago, in my ST1100 on a summer day: 1. Started the bike fine in my carport. 2. After waiting at the Clinton Ferry dock, started it fine to board the ferry. 3. Upon docking the ferry...

    TSA and Motorcycle Gear

Regardless what they tell you, I think there's half a chance there'll be a problem. I once took a flight from Seattle to Reno and was bringing a 7mm socket/ratchet to perform a minor repair on the plane I was picking up. They confiscated those tools. I suggest checking it or shipping it...

    Cruise control flashing

It can. A couple of months ago mine started acting up frequently, like every other ride. I noticed the rear brake lever was sticking. Lubed it up and no problem since.

Kelso, WA - What’s there to see and do?

I haven't been to such a museum there. We actually have a small museum here in Prineville that has some displays and whatnot about logging and lumber manufacturing, which used to be the economic mainstay of the town.

Kelso, WA - What’s there to see and do?

You could always visit the NORPAC plant in Longview - see how paper is made Just mentioning as I used to do a lot of contract work for them back in the '90's

    12 days, 9 states and 14,000 ft

Mt. Evans was an occasional entertainment when I lived in Clear Creek County, CO. I'd go up to the summit and watch for cars with plates from, say, Illinois. Folks get out of the car, take 10 steps and sit right down on the pavement . By the way, coming from Denver, you can duck some of that...

You could create an additional gmail address for this. I have done that to manage communication for the HOA for which I am Treasurer.

    F*** Garmin

Right on with POI data. But roads? Ten Years? Hah! You should try getting around the DFW area with data that old. Or here, for that matter.

    Honda nc750x as second bike

FWIW, not long back I had something of a predecessor to this: NT700. Equipped for touring, so somewhat heavier. Longest riding day: 800 miles. Took a trip from Whidbey Island to Loveland, CO and back. Spent lots of time about 80MPH in WY and MT without strain.

    computer

"Nowadays I don't even have a computer. Everything I do online is done via my IPhone and my home WiFi. Don't really see a need for one." Even in retirement I still find myself constantly working with SW applications that are simply not available or ludicrously difficult to use on the teeny-tiny...
