I love my AE. I don't have any problems with slow speed maneuvering. It's basically the same as a normal clutch. I just use a little rear brake pressure and a little throttle. It feels just like the friction zone of a regular clutch to me. I'd buy another AE in a heartbeat. But it is true...

My bed is 5.5 also so I used 3/4 plywood cut to the length of my bed and tailgate with two 2x4's screwed on end next to the tires to give added support to the tailgate.

I just did the trooper mod and added the tailcones. They look great and installation is cake taking probably less than 5 minutes. Nice cheap mod that sounds sweet and looks even better.

As the acceleration in 1st slows I ease off the throttle just a touch, click the finger or foot shifter and right back on the throttle. Mine shifts nice and smooth that way.
