    "New" 2009 AE Questions

I'm considering a "new" 2009 AE at Brother's Powersports in Bremerton, WA. (I sold my 2008 and have been kicking myself ever since.) While it makes simple sense to purchase an A or an ES and be done with it, I thought I'd ask anyway. First, the dealer is selling this 2009 as new, with 1500...

Seal Mate and Fork Seal Fix

You all have been a BIG help! I'll have to pick up some soxs that Petrodactyl mentioned. Myhalis, the video you provided is the one that got my attention. I'd like to find out more about those tech sessions. Again, a huge "Thank you!"

Seal Mate and Fork Seal Fix

Sorry for clicking on the post button twice. Damn it, I'm out of practice. I've looked all over on a way to delete the second one but can't find it.

Seal Mate and Fork Seal Fix

My 2008 has developed a fork seal leak on the right side. Yamaha dealers in Tacoma and Bremerton both gave me quotes of $400 - $500 to do both. Have any of you used Seal Mate? Supposedly, a $5.00 plastic tool can do the fix. I'm skeptical that the fix could be so simple; it's sounds too good...

I'm Thinking of Selling My FJR

I'm having to think about selling my 2008 FJR. There are so many scams out there waiting to rip you off when you sell something. Any pointers so it doesn't happen to me if I go ahead and sell? I feel ill. I'm going to go lay down now.

    Washington State Boundary Ride Report

Well, as requested, here's my report on my Washington State Boundary Ride. In the end, 1,677.9 total miles at 51.5 mpg. This wasn't an Iron Butt; rather, it was to put together ideas and curriculum for my Washington State History Classes. My 2008 FJR, Belleza Negra, performed magnificantly...

    My FJR Made the Paper!

Since folks were wondering where I was gonna be, I thought I'd share the planned rounte. I probably should have put this in PNW Rides but I didn't want to break the thread. My apologies if I goofed up. 8/7--Day One: Home (Gig Harbor) to Clallam Bay/Neah Bay 8/8--Day Two: Clallam Bay/Neah Bay...

    My FJR Made the Paper!

There was a time when I'd say I was writing that great idea down in the "Ideas" section of my planner. Now, I'm putting it in my Droid. :dribble: Excellent idea! If my wife argues alot about it, I'll just take her to this post!

    My FJR Made the Paper!

Yep. I'll post the latitude and longitude of a particular place, making comments about the history, physical landscape and cultural landscape--so my students can compare and contrast it to their own "place." Geography is all about comparing and contrasting one place to another, asking two...

    My FJR Made the Paper!

That sounds like an excellent idea. I'm going to turn and go north at Sedro Wooley, staying away from I-5.

    Tacoma Motorsports

If you're around the South Sound, I'm highly recommending Tacoma Motorsports. I'd purchased my '08 at Bremerton Powersports and had been relatively happy. Relatively. When I purchased the bike I'd heard later about the ignition recall and was assured that it'd been taken care of. Hmmm, but I...
