The rear caliper is in good shape. The ignition switch was replaced under the warranty way back when. You can have them for the price of shipping, get 'em out of my garage.

The mounting points are the bar ends and a special bolt that goes in the clutch/brake reservoir. Those are included.

Call Digikey. I find calling them a lot quicker than looking through their parts catalog. Somewhere around here I posted the (updated) parts numbers for the switches, but I'm feeling too lazy to look for them. :)

Sounds like you may be in for a new ignition. There is a kit from Yamaha to do the recalls that is in the neighborhood of $60. Not hard to install if you are a do-it-yourself type and you get to use the original key.

I've got one of those, you can have it. On our way out to NAFO our GPS quit talking to me several times. Turns out it worked right up to the point where it got warm, then it just stopped letting anything through(I had it mounted under the seat). Fortunately heading west is not difficult. :)

The touchpad is just a momentary switch and an on/off switch. Swap them out for some waterproof micro switches and mount them in the grip housing ala Brundog: EDIT: Ignore the red/green boxes, you can see the switches on the right of them.

In the states it wouldn't be hard to locate a bike that had bent forks and be able to get the fork caps from them. Should be able to get them cheap that way.

They didn't show my dog in there! He was the one sitting on the couch the entire time. :)
