And flush the coolant, and bleed the clutch, and do the fork oil, and the driveshaft oil, and a throttle sync, and check the valves, and the steering bearings, etc.

Glad you are ok and that insurance is sorting it all out.
Those "snake strips" on the SoCal freeways have a tendency to slick up sometimes.
That and the darn metal expansion joints in the rain are also a nuisance.
Purolator PL14610 since the first oil change for mine. That is a "one up" size from stock.
I use that same filter on my wife's FX35 and that's a 3.5L V6 @ 280HP.
That SUV also uses the punier filter and I ended up "up sizing" that to the bigger PL14610 as well.
