    Jacob's Ladder Construction

As an FYI, a good portion of Rt 20 between Lee and Huntington is torn up for construction. Twisty milled road=no bueno

    Routes 116 and 2

I did a little excurtion yesterday along routes 116 west of South Deerfield to 8 in Adams to 2 and found them to be in less than desirable condition. Both 116 and 2 have a lot of sand on them from the recent storm. For those not familiar with these roads, they have some good twisties and the...

    Cee Bailey Seats

I was perusing ebay and saw Cee Bailey seat mods listed. I didn't know they did this. Has anyone tried them or know anything about them? I'm not in the market for a seat but it made me curious.

    Wants to stall

So far I've had 0 issues with this bike until the last month or so. From a complete stop, rolling on the throttle, letting out the clutch it wants to stall unless I goose it. Everything else is fine. Idle is good, throttle response is good, fuel line isn't pinched. I was hoping it was the plugs...

    U-turns

I've owned this bike for four years now and managed to not have to do any tight u-turns, you know, when you have to side sadde it. Just the thought of it on this big, heavy beast made me avoid it at all costs right up until yesterday. I must have had an extra helping of Wheaties because I could...

    I91N by New Haven Milled

There's a stretch of milled road on I91N by New Haven, and knowing CT it will be that way for some time. I don't know if the grooves are deeper than normal or what, but it's like riding on ice. Use caution.

    Great deal on Shoei

Stopped at the (somewhat) local CycleGear to replace my KBC Force RR that I dropped and broke the piece that holds the shield on. The padding was getting old anyway. I'm pretty cheap and the KBC was my most expensive helmet to date, never could justify spending $400-$500 on a helmet. So I'm...

    Question for Blackbird owners

I have a friend who just picked up a new-to-him Blackbird. He got a great deal at $4500 with Givi bags, heated jacket and gloves. He has an 800 Intruder and was tinkering with the idea until I sent him a link on craigslist, next day went to look at it and took a test ride...that sealed the deal...

    Hand guards

I've been debating on getting a set of hand guards now that the temps have been dropping at night. I was at a local dealer today and picked up the Powermadd ones. I was even able to get them in silver with black trim to match my '03. :yahoo: Installation wasn't too bad, just need to dremmel...

    Close call

I don't typically think about deer too much this time of year, but I was cruising down I91 this morning in CT between Hatrford and New Haven and saw a dead Bambi on the side of the road. At about 2:30 this afternoon on rt. 15 around North Haven Bambi's dumb ass cousin jumped a guard rail right...

    Roadside assistance services

I went out today for some two up riding and when I went to adjust the suspention I realized I'd picked up a nail in my rear tire. Of course, it's Sunday and everyone is closed. I've been checking out some roadside assistance programs (since I now can't ride) and they are all very vague about...

    Bad Day

It was such a nice day yesterday (almost 50 degrees) so I figure I'll go for a ride. I'd already had a nasty allergy attack in the morning so I was feeling a little grumpy. I go out and the bike fires up like a champ. Wait...what the hell is that sound? Sounds like...a ticker!!! Son of a...
