Oil change - how tight do you tighten the bolt at the bottom?

I stripped my oil pan by tightening too tight. I went by the torque values in the book. Never again... Someone talked about getting a copper washer to replace the crush washer. Got the copper washer and now I just "snug" up the bolt when I change the oil and it does fine.

    Strawberry Ride

There is a town about 60 miles away, 3 towns West of me called Dayton TN. It's claim to fame historically is holding the famous "Scopes Monkee Trial" here back in the 30's. They also have a Strawberry Festival there every Spring so I rode over there to get some fresh-picked Tennessee...

    Spring Ride for Fried Pies

The day started off without a cloud in the sky and the forecast was for low 70's perfect day for riding. Temperature starting out was 57 degrees. I was riding over to Ducktown to meet with everyone and rode through Greasy Creek that ended up by the Ocoee river, at this stop there is supposed...

    Leo's Highway pegs, leodro@verizon

I also got Leo's mounts, I had to cut off some off the back of the mount to make them fit on my frame sliders but after that they work really great and look good. Thanks Leo!

    Mountain Riding

Cherohala edges out the Gap, Cherohala has more views, the sweepers are easier for my bike to handle, if I am stuck behind someone I can pass them sooner than I can at the Gap, and the Cherohala is less crowded than the Gap. But for the sheer fun of twisty curves nothing beats the Dragon.

    Mountain Riding

This was at the beginning of the Cherohala Skyway, I think they are going to cover the dragon with a covering like his last mailbox. This was the mailbox at this spot last year: Brand new covered bridge going over the Tellico River: Tellico River before you get into the mountains of the...
