What model year did Yamaha bring in the 'new improved CCT'? ... the one with the dot of paint on it (blue/green?). Most of the discussion I've seen vis a vis early replacement has been confined to Gen 1 and early Gen 2 (2007 and prior).

It only took 12 years and 1,000 warnings, but I finally found the time to check the screws on my saddlebag locks. Its true! they were all loose and one had backed out a 1/4". Loctite is your friend.
