    FJR1300ABS vs 1998 BMW R1200C

Well alrighty then....I too am picking up a R1200C, (99' loaded) and share your enthusiasim--probably the coolest looking cruiser to ever cross the pond and with respectable torque to boot. I have a souped up Harley and like you, see this Beemer as a way to possibly live longer and maybe see a...

    Kawasaki GTR1400 Sport Tourer!

Oh Great...just when I was starting to feel comfortable about saving my Road King Custom for special events and jumping onto the Feeger bandwagon; a Kawa contender looms over the horizon !!! I've owned both Yamaha and Kawasaki and could be happy with either I'm sure....this new competition...

    second bike

Have you owned a Harley before this? Just a word to the wise....the big cruiser line FLH is the way to go for stability and two up riding as opposed to the softtails however if you get your ya-ya's with acceleration or bottom end torque you will be spending more than you can afford on H.P...

Maine east/west mc roads and towns

Lovely trip Axeman, however be forewarned that everyone else from the immediate neighboring states with also be heading up the Maine coast as well for the 4th of July.....Hard to beat the views from US route 1 along the coast so this is the obvious reccomendation and be sure to stop in Camden...

Questions and Pictures of the 06

Finding a knowledgeable rep may be a challenge but if you get lucky; the heat issue is for me the largest question. I would also ask why the Feeger hasn't received a sixth gear yet. Good luck, have fun you dog and I look forward to your report..... :detect:

    1999 BMW R1200C

Axeman, The scooter in question is loaded, full chrome and leather bags; a light blue in color with a new Corbin seat (seller still has original seat with fold up backrest) Asking $7300. but sounds motivated, I will hazard a guess that I could drive it away for $6500.... oh yeah...

    1999 BMW R1200C

Opportunity to buy the little Beemer this weekend. Bike has 7500 miles and is pristine. BMW discontinued this model in '04 however it is popular and a classic unit. Anyone have roadtime on this model? B)

Who is the best Yami dealer in Northwest?

Just picked up a sweet little R1200C to placate my winter blues and add to my eclectic stable of two wheeled delights but continue to look forward to the day I throw my leather clad leg over an FJR. May go after the '06 if it becomes available but will probobly order new for '07 and would like...

Solo-To and From Alaska on a Feeger

I've traveled this road several times both winter and summer but never on a scooter. It's paved, lots of mule deer and caribou, but the blue-haired crowd in the mega RV's are by far the greatest peril.

FJR is gone, here's my new bike

New to the forum and the whole FJR phenom and you appear to be the first fellow to go from a Feeger to a different ride? Any comments on the FJR? I am still on the fence between the FJR and a Beemer...so don't hold back.

Is the FJR the right tool?

Ultimately I wish to garage the new bike in the lower "48" in that I would have the ability to ride in warmer climes during the excessively long Alaskan winters. As well, I plan to ride every July and that is why the FJR rider heating situation is of concern. (True, it would not be an issue in...

Is the FJR the right tool?

Planning a little scoot from Kenai, Alaska to Nova Scotia and back, and am a little hesitant about doing it with my souped up 04' Road King Custom. I've been coming up to speed as of late on the touring bikes but find both the Goldwing and the K1200LT a little bulky for my tastes. I'm extremely...
