    Skagit PowerSports Closing

Very Sad, Bill has sold the property and is in process of selling off all of his inventory.  The main store is empty with all items in the warehouse across the street.  I'll miss the occasional meeting up with folks from south and north of Skagit.

    Flying To St. Louis Tomorrow

And some in that area going for $11999 .  With shipping to WA it still would make sense to pick one up.

Camino Cielo - Santa Barbara Pier - Hot Chick!

Good pics of a great group ride. Might have joined you if I hadn't left E. Ventura County 15 years ago, but at that time I was heavy into bicycling and most likely would have been riding tail with that chick. :)

    MODES?

And those modes are like having two different bikes, which is great. :) 😁

    Reuben Run #8

Some may know that my front tire was "Fanged" by some sort of industrial staple.  A benevolent attendee volunteered his plug system for the repair.  I do believe that it was Dynaplug.   We did have a really big fellow stick the devices into the tire, it's a tough job for a "lite wates" :).  They...

    Leaving the flock...

I did the same thing as you 5 years ago. Besides the tiptoe and fear of dropping the beauty, the clutch hand was becoming an issue. But the advent of the new clutch on the FJRs' and still finding it to have the best riding position for me, I've come back to the fold. Don't count yourself out...

FJR still King of the Road, for me

Did a road trip last year on a wonderful 2018 HD Softail Heritage. Loved the floor boards and the engine guards are close enough to hang my feet on for a stretch. So being a good Dad, I shipped the bike to my son in Texas where he's loving it. Would you believe he had to pay sales tax on a...

Probably not, I couldn't make it this year. Maybe I'll do my act at La Pine.

    Washington State Mandatory Motorcycle Insurance

I really was pleased with Progressive when they were needed, but when I checked out Allstate it also was half the cost of Progressive. For that many bucks I had to jump. Been with Allstate over 5 years so it may be time to shop around again.

    Bike keyed at work!

There's a nice set of scratches in the chrome Yamaha badge too. Looks like damage from a drop or wall scrape.

    Bike keyed at work!

Not a key maybe some sort of tool. The wave spacing towards the front is too evenly spaced to be a simple key. Also like DCR32's explanation

Upgrade 2010 clutch to 2016 slipper, results easy pull lever

When visiting dealerships I'm always on the lookout for bikes with a soft clutch pull. I've had to trade off too many great bikes because of the hand/clutch issue and my shrinking legs. My 2010 FJR was a problem with both issues. My current ride is a 2018 H-D Heritage which has a 10lb clutch...

    Keyless start?

For 50 years of motorcycle ownership and never having had a bike stolen or an ignition key problem, I'm for "Simple is Better". I experienced a Smart Key failure after refueling when the key wouldn't unlock the ignition switch. Moving the bike away from the pumps didn't help. After 30...
