I scraped my pegs a few times until I learned to get my upper body hung out a bit more and now no longer scrape. My suspension has 43k on it and seems fine.

Glad you figured it out. The suspension adjustments made a huge difference for me also.

I used to get very sore after a couple of hours until I got my Bill Mayer saddle. Now I'm good for multiple day rides. Long days are still tiring, but 3-400 miles a day is fine. I'm 66.

My '07 has that too. I've chosen to ignore it. :blink:

I've got the Manic Sally's on my bike. They make a slight difference in vibes and look way cool.

Yeah, I finally broke down and started buying the tires on line, then taking my wheels and the tires to the shop for mounting. They only charge $25/wheel. Get the Michelins!

You can ride into Corbin and get a custom seat, of course.

I've been using 25 ft lbs. Do you think that's too tight? Seems to be pretty easy to remove, so I think it's ok.

Don't know about the rest of you, but my experience with my ST1100 and FJR are the same in one respect: the more miles I put on, the more I love the bike. I'm already thinking ahead. When my '07 has 100,000+ miles on it, I'll just get one of the FJRs on Cycle Trader that are 3-4 years old and...

Whatever you do, don't use slime with sticky strings! I tried it once and the tire spit the sticky string out and spewed slime all over my rear fender, etc.

I could certainly get that much out of a set on my '07. What town are you in? We rode from SLC to Boise a couple of weeks ago on our way home from the FIM SBK races - may have passed your place!

I'm happy with my FJR no matter what they say! :clapping:
