    2007 No Start Problem

No, it's a 30 minute commute. I've never had this problem before.

    2007 No Start Problem

The battery is taking a charge from my Battery Tender. Is there any chance that I could have a faulty ignition switch? Could it have drained the battery during the day while I was working? That might explain the bike going from trying to start to no lights and no gauges instantly. Also would...

    2007 No Start Problem

Ok, so I got home and checked the battery. It measured 10.4 volts across the terminals, which is way too low. But does it necessarily indicate a bad battery? Is there anything else that I should check?

    2007 No Start Problem

Damn, I thought that my new battery would end my starting problems. A couple of weeks ago, I installed a new glass mat battery from Batteries Plus and haven't had any troubles. I'll check the battery tonight. Terminals were tight.

    2007 No Start Problem

Ok, I need some help. This morning, I went to start the bike as I do every morning. Now, just for background, I have an '07 FJR ABS model, newer battery and zero problems prior to this morning. I insert the key, turn it to the "on" position, turn the kiss switch to "on", the fuel pump runs for a...

Fix for a lost rear axle spacer?

FJRay, I wish I had one to mic so that I could give you the specs! I'm somewhat desperate, in that I head for Alaska on Saturday.

Fix for a lost rear axle spacer?

Al, that would be the one. I'm trying to find someone who actually has one in stock so that I can get it sent overnight. Of course, my dealer is useless in this matter. In terms of how did I lose it? Well, the last time I saw it... and then my son and his friends were in the garage... you get...

Fix for a lost rear axle spacer?

Ok, short of ordering another one, which I will do. Does anyone have a fix for a missing rear axle spacer on a 2007 FJR w/ ABS?

OK, now the horn is out.

Yes, the horn was completely unrelated. The fuse problem was caused by the Skene LED system having been poorly installed by the highly paid installer. When the bars are turned to the left, the Skene system was shorting out, so it has been disconnected awaiting a better install. More accurately...

OK, now the horn is out.

    LOL!!!! Point taken! Well done!

OK, now the horn is out.

Done, that was it. Power directly to the horns and the horns sound. Started messing with the switch, without taking it apart, literally just poking at it and the horns start working. The bike hadn't been washed in a couple of months and it stays garaged. Should I replace the switch? Is it...

OK, now the horn is out.

I'll definitely try this when I get home. Thanks.

OK, now the horn is out.

The recall for the ground spiders was performed by the dealer. After that, I have had 2 ground spider failures. Nice job. There are currently no blown fuses. Only 2 PIAA horns that do not blow. All other electrical items (sans the glove box solenoid) are working fine. It was the P3 that I...

OK, now the horn is out.

Ok, thank you to everyone for your help. Here's where I am now: I changed the fuse for the turn signals back to the 10 amp, turn signals emergency flashers and side markers all work. Windshield operation has always worked, at lease since I bypassed the ground spider that controls it and the...

OK, now the horn is out.

Because it's not the same problem. You indicated that the horns aren't on the same fuse as the signals, and yet other posts indicate that they are. Given that I'm just trying to solve a problem, and that you seem to enjoy being condescending... at the end of the day I need to solve a problem...

OK, now the horn is out.

So, I had a problem with the turn signals blowing the fuse. I have installed Skene Design Conspicuity Lights (LED), and upgraded the horns to the PIAA's. I did not upgrade any wiring or install a horn relay. After changing out the turn signal fuse twice, I upgraded to a 15 amp fuse and...

Turn signal & flasher fuse keeps blowing!

Thanks for the input, even the serious attempts to help. Here's what has been done to the bike. I've added the Skene Design Conspicuity lights, front and back. These are LED's and have very little draw. They are tied into the signal system. They've been working fine for 6 months. The fuse just...

Turn signal & flasher fuse keeps blowing!

Can someone tell me why I keep blowing the fuse for my turn signals and flashers? It happened yesterday, I replaced the 10 amp fuse, and now it happened again today. Everything else works fine.
