As the Alaska Riders approach the Hwy 2 and Hwy 5 Intersection (and all to be soon heading south on Hwy 2 to NC), they are only approx. 100m apart and about 3,950 miles to go. Per Spotwalla, a rider is lined up at the Port Angeles ferry to Vancouver Island. It's a day trip, so no return to the mainland until 3pm.... 1,750 miles looks doable to MN by 8am Friday but man o' man, that's getting tight...

Just outside Tuscon, 4:30 PST... with an hour for chow and gas, back on the road by 5:30 and 6 1/2 hrs later (about midnight PST), I can sign them off... Hoot!
