05 Engine Shutting Off

Last couple of days, my engine has been shutting off when I shift from Neutral to 1st.

It only seems to happen when the bike is first warming up.

I back out of the garage and start the bike to let it warm up.

After reaching normal idle, I pull in on the clutch and shift into 1st and it just shuts off.

Put it back in neutral and start it up and shift back to 1st and it dies again.

Seems to be getting progressivley worse.

After about 4 tries at lunch, it finally shifted into 1st (without dieing) and away I went.

So far, this has only happened when in my drive way or parking lot, once we are moving, no problem

shifting from Neutral to 1st at a red light, systems seem to function properly there.

Any advice,

Don't want to head off to EOM with this problem.
