From Motorized Bar Stool Fetches $1,150 In Auction:

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Who would have thought that a homemade motorized bar stool would fetch a lot of cash?

The bar stool, made infamous by a drunken driving case in Licking County, was purchased for $1,150 in an auction on eBay, 10TV News reported on Monday.

Kile Wygle,was charged with driving under the influence after he crashed the contraption in March, 10TV News reported.

He later pleaded guilty to charges and spent three days in jail.

Newark police decided to put the bar stool up for auction after learning that Wygle was trying to sell it.

Profits from the auction will go toward paying child support owed by Wygle.
