What does this tell us ?

Actually very little except that I have just wasted 45 minutes of my life

playing with American statistics showing that only 8% of road deaths involve motorcycles.

If the stats would show age, speed, alcohol/drugs we may see a pattern emerge.

It is my guess that the vast majority of the motorcycle deaths were for riders under

The age of 21. Speed and inexperience would be high on the list of factors involved.

Actually the trend for motorcycle deaths has.been for middle age riders around 42 I think.

SORRY....but I have to disagree with the most important thing you said.....Motorcycle are not dangerous....hello...motorcycles are an inanimate object....that's as wrong as saying a gun is dangerous....both totally absurd statements....& both TOTALLY WRONG!....end of rant.....

Motorcycling may not be dangerous, but it is certainly not safe.

The graph would be more telling if it showed deaths per miles driven for each type of vehicle. And then broken down by clustered circumstances. Also it would be nice to see statistics of deaths caused by driver/rider error versus death by another vehicle,,,,,,,probably won't see those kinds of numbers soon though....

This morning in Silver Spring a Bus ran over someone. The bike rack on the front pulled them under the Bus.

See walking is more dangerous...
