Escort Passport X50 Performance?

You might want to look at the Beltronics RX65 Pro Series. Escort bought Beltronics and the Pro comes with the same smart cord as the X50 and is higher rated than the X50. This guy tests all of the models and has concluded this is the best he has ever tested.
I have a SoloS2 and it works well, but my RX65 is outstanding.

three things

1)

My Valentine came with a cable that plugged directly into my Starcom, no special cable was needed. Autocom has a special input ?

2) The guy that runs the radarbuster site has always had a beef with Mike Valentine, I can't remember the details.

3) When riding with my partner, my Valentine always kicks in about 100 yards before his new Passport.

So what output is on the Valentine? My Autocom is standard 3.5mm audio jack.

I talked the guys at radarbusters this morning. The beltronics does have an audio out jack as does the escort.

For a motorcyle application, they recommend the escort over the beltronics, as they claim the unit is built of sturdier construction.

I knew about the RX65 when I ordered my Passport, I am trying to remember why I went with the pricier Passport. (Other than always previously buying Escort radar detectors and never having any problems) Maybe it was because of the voltmeter function. Who knows.

The Beltronics has the same output jack as the X50. It's nice to have voice alerts through my Autocom system.

Thanks all for the reply. I've been thinking about upgrading to the X50 or the RX65 from my std. 8500. for a while now. I run my 8500 into an amplirider so it's good to know they both have audio out.
