I have an 06 with a jm2003 setup and the cfrg module to allow me to add my iPod cell phone and radar detector and maybe gps in the future. It's a pretty easy install and it all works great except at idle. The issue is audio only works out of my left head set. It also cuts the music in when my blinker is on. My idle speed is around 1100 rpm and my rd (escort 8500) reads the voltage at 13.4. After I give it gas and around 1600 rpms and 13.8 volts the audio comes back. I do have all of the devices powered by a diy power distribution panel. I have by wired the jm2003 direct to the battery and I get the same result. I was wondering if I may have voltage issue or what other troubleshooting option I may have before I call it in as a warranty issue.

Thanks for any help or ideas provide.

The voltages you give are reasonable. A voltmeter across the battery would read mid to high 13s at idle, and run up to 14.1, 14.2 at speed. Those would be lower with heavy loads such as aux lighting or heated gear. That's what the bike will supply. If it's not good enough fot the radio then it's the radio's problem, I think.

Thanks wfooshee. I tested all the connections and I do believe it's the wiring in the additional module. I'm going to warranty it. Thanks for the voltage info it confirmed what I needed to know.
