Move Over HIDs

LED LED LED... that's about all you hear these days. I've been waiting for LEDs to get to the point to where they are commonly used for general lighting (FJR headlights?!?!?). Then along comes this new little gem that might even compete with HIDs when they get it perfected.

I wouldn't hold your breath that we'll be seeing them on our FJR's anytime soon, but at 150 lumens per watt Luxim and the backing financiers are definitely ones to watch in this technology. I would imagine we'd seem them in some higher end apps first (like video projectors, Mercedes, etc.)

Yep, been waiting for LED lighting in my biz for the last 8 or so years. We are now just beginning to see it in minor applications. This new plazma bulb will take another 8 to 10 years of development and the need to reduce the size of that RF box.
