And now I read the ad again..... How old is the seat?
I have had this seat since 2013. I bought it from another forum member, who mentioned he had it for a few years then, I can't say accurately how old it is.
It is in great condition. Treated with leather conditioner regularly. No tears or blemishes.

Probably fine.For the price you really can't go wrong.I've had several RDL seats over the years on different FJR's I;ve owned.
If it didn't fit you,for a nominal fee RUSSELL WOULD REWORK THE SEAT FOR YOU.This seat will be gone very soon,it's cheap for a Russell
