I had a 1.5 acres around my house - cut with a GT245. Wasn't too bad, but a zero turn would have been better. Also had 13 acres just down the street -- used my John Deere tractor with MX7 rotary cutter. It was slow going. Again, a big zero turn probably would have been better.

find a nice used hustler, scag, ferris, gravely or exmark com.grade only.If your mowing 10 acres and dont have gate or trailer restrictions the wider the better the ferris has 4 wheel indepenent suspension if your pproperty is rough.I have 2 now but have owned several looking back the biggest mastake I made was buying some new ones there is a lot of good low hour mowers out there.

I love ZTR mowers but my yard is too small. The company I work for makes the gerotor motor for the wheel drives for many of these brands. I got to tour the Dixie Chopper plant a few years back. Nice machines.
