I am going to be sending my seat to Russell soon, and am trying to decide if the extra $250 for the backrest is worth the money. Seems like it would be easier on the back on day long rides. What do you guys with this option think?

Thanks

...easier on the back on day long rides.
It may be nice on the back, it is NOT easier to get on and off the bike after a long ride. I really have to hike a leg up to get over it. But, when adjusted right, it's great. I got the pouch on the back of it, real nice for the rain cover, and good place for the wife to keep a camera.

I really enjoyed the one I had on my bike. It is pricy, but having the back rest is a real help for the long haul. He's right about the pouch, didn't have one on the Russell and missed it after having one on my Valkyrie.

Hi Greg,

I've got one and like it. As for putting your leg through rather than across the seat I usually have my Motofizz tailbag attached so have to do this anyway.
