Dam... Wish I saw this yesterday. Just spent about twice the money on new mounting plate for my SR rack to replace the "toilet seat". This would have been easy-peasy to adapt to one of those.

I am curious why you would want a flat plate versus the toilet seat. To strap stuff down easier when not using the rear luggage?

Yes, exactly. Plus the toilet seat looks poopy when you don't have a bag on it!
